It's like a very bad habit or something ... it just won't go away. :) It's bounced around more dealers and owners than you can shake a stick at! It was for sale at another dealer a little more than a week ago asking $1.3!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Ferrari-ENZO-Clear-Bra-Only-9-900-Miles-Red-Black_W0QQitemZ260508034702QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3ca77d268e

And here we go again .. albeit a little (and I mean a little) more reasonably priced (reasonable would be something starting with a "7").

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-FERRARI-ENZO-RED-BLACK-SUPERCAR-COLLECTOR-STUNNER_W0QQitemZ220518277060QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3357e9dfc4

I guess until it actually sells to a private party for a "reasonable" price it's going to get trucked around the country from dealer to dealer with each of them trying to find that one special buyer. Reminds me of musical chairs. Whichever dealer has the car when the right person comes along will get the sale. Until then it will just circulute. :D

Thats the Griffin/Red line car right ?

The ebay ad still says :

No title issues No report/theft or other events
No accidents or damage Special use report found
No odometer rollback No loan or lien records

Whatever happened to Jim Lyons reputation and business practices?

Years ago, he was respected (I thought), but this is the second car in a short period of time with un-disclosed/hidden issues.

Gonna be a great thread, as Rick explains this one...

"We didn't know.... the Carfax was clear!"

I'm sure all those things are true to the various Carfax/AutoCheck reports.

Of course we have all known for a while the wreck/repair was kept off the title and those reports, as pretty much everyone who has tried to sell it has claimed the car to be "no hit" and "undamaged."

One and the same. Seems like all the ads for this car never disclose its sordid history.

I agree. I always thought he had a good reputation and represented very nice cars. I don't fault him for listing the car but I do wonder why he isn't being forthright about its history. I think people would respect him more for his honesty since there's no way anyone buying a car at this level won't eventually find out.

LOL! I think you should send it to Jim and see if he adds it to the auction! :D

Oh man. That's not good for SCC.

I can hear Rick saying "we encourage all buyers to get a PPI"!!!

In the end, Rob Lay will close this thread because it is about one of his sponsors...

I would think the CarFax/Autocheck is clear. Most of the super cars on Ebay have an Autocheck that says the VIN is not valid. I think at $700,000-$800000 this is a "drive it like you stole it car." If I was in the market for an Enzo (which I will never be) I would consider this car because I would drive the heck out of it.
