A friend of mine saw a news piece about an accident involving a Murcialago and an Enzo which were street racing on Thursday. According to the news, two 17 year old girls took their fathers' Enzo and Murcielago for a joy ride with three of their friends and wrecked both of the cars. Somehow, They managed to fit three people in one car and two in the other. One of the girls lost control of the Murcielago and hit an on coming car causing the Enzo driver to then hit both of the cars. Apparently everybody walked away but both the Murcie and the Enzo were totaled.

Has anybody else heard anything about this?

way old repost. this crash goes back well over a year. if i remember correctly, the Enzo crash was separate from the murci crash but im not positive. also, the Enzo (132648) belongs to Don Wallace, who resides in florida as far as i know, or at least thats where the car is most often. probably over a year ago, the car was fully restored from the crash. again, if i remember correctly, the owners son took it out for a joyride alone.

then again think about it...how could 5 joyriding teens be injured in that crash? the murci and Enzo only have 2 seats each.

that was Frank Mountains Enzo. this was a different one
when was this? do you have any idea where the car went?
when youre the 17 year old son of an Enzo owner, isnt taking it out behind your dads back a joyride? is there a difference, given the situation?

I read that just the engline lid glass cover is around $50k so $400k in repairs is spot on. My 456 hood is $20k!

true. im 17 and have been tempted to take the Gallardo out, so i know the feeling exactly. except the Enzo would own the Gallardos joyride experience.

No. Just immature. There is no proof that he was being wreckless. Just because a 17 year old crashes an enzo doesn't mean he was speeding or driving dangerously. Heck, he could have skidded on ice (or hydroplaned since this is FL). Do you know what he crashed into?

No, if you cause a single vehicle accident, you were doing something dangerous/reckless.

No. So if you skid on black ice you were driving dangerously?

The Wallace car ended up in the Shelton Ferrari restoration shop where they stripped the nose clean and were in the process of sourcing parts to repair the car when this photo was taken. I don't know where it has gone from there.

Before you ask, a "friend" sent me this photo and I don't have any others unfortunately.

the true story is....(and i know this cause i look at this site all the time and wanted to know if it was true)
one...true...i heard it happed in CA...not sure

    http://www.wreckedexotics.com/murcielago/murcielago_112002_004.shtml

two...true.. it happend in SoFl (tampa)

the BOY (owners son) was driving, came up to a semi and wanted to pass it, but did not see the park semi ahead (it was half way on the road) and got over (not sure if he got on the safty lane) ....but he tryed to pass the truck and then he saw the truck and could not stop it time and hit the parked truck. (the boy went to school with a friend of mine)
and yes it cost 400k to fix and the enzo STILL sold for 100k over its new car price of 665k. the enzo was rebuilt at a ferrari shop near me ( i wanted some parts, hehe, but could not even SEE it let alone take pics of it till it was done) but as far as i knew about where the car was......i didnt if u know what i mean. and now alot of ppl know where they fixed it. FYI the enzo WAS totalled- and has a salvage title, and DID sell not on ebay tho
    pics.....

well taking daddys Enzo out for a joyride doesnt necesarily mean he was pushing the limits as far as safety. a joyride and a drive can be the same thing cant they?
i completely agree with your reasoning, im just not sure there is or should be a fine line between a drive in daddys Enzo and taking out for a joyride, in which case the latter must mean it was done so without care
uh. a good buddy of mine was driving 25 on a 30 street, swerved to avoid a crazy biker, and crashed into a tree. dangerous? reckless? i think not. shht happens.
my worst fear. even just having to make that call because i got in an accident in my truck at someone else's fault, let alone because i took the Lamborghini out without him knowing it.
