Recently I watched a video of a Nordschliefe track test of a Ferrari Enzo, the car was making a good time courtesy of a local track specialist, when the car began experiencing problems with the dampers overheating I believe. Has anyone here heard of this issue and does the FXX have a different damper or modified from 'stock' Enzo configuration?
This track is the ultimate real world test of a vehicle for many manufacturers and I had hoped for the Enzo to have put on one of the best performances!

Does Jim's P4/5 have the stock Enzo dampening system or has his been modified. Does the dampening system have a computer control that may be contributing to the problem?
Excuse my Enzo ignorance technically, being more a Daytona era/F40 type individual, but I was sceptical that a potential serious handling flaw would have escaped Ferrari's rigorous testing program.
The FXX has a more adjustable from corner to corner suspension system:

The car's new traction control system, developed in close collaboration with the GES Racing Division engineers, gives the driver a choice of no less than nine different settings (plus the off position) which are selected using a switch on the central tunnel. This means that the driver really can modify the car's behavior on the track from corner to corner, just as the Formula 1 drivers do to maximize performance and reduce tire wear. The FXX's traction control is also now less invasive and more flexible, adapting more efficiently to the individual driving style of each driver - a requirement pinpointed when this very extreme car was being driven on the track by non-professional drivers.
    Thanks

This occurs because to make the suspension reasonable enough for the street if you use it VERY HARD on the track you can heat it up/over extend it and the ecu will throw a fault and shut it down before it gets damaged. All you have to do is slow down, cool down, shut down and restart the system and it will reset. The fault will be stored but you're good to go.

Remember an Enzo is a street car not a race car. P 4/5 is 400 lbs lighter than an Enzo so this happens much less even on the track. In Bahrain on the F1 track we ran hard for two days without incident except once when we lost the front for a moment corrected hard and continued on throwing a fault.

On the FXX this isn't an issue as the suspention is set up for track only.

    Cheers
