Does anyone have pictures of Enzo Ferrari himself? They're tough to come by online.
I have also been searching (I named my son after Enzo). The only place I have seen is in the gift shops across from the factory, but I didn't want to try to pack it to bring home, as I was using a small carry-on for the week. If you can't find anything, e-mail me and I will get you a name of a contact that probably has them in Italy.

I understand that the last picture of Enzo wiping his eye was a reference to his sadness of knowing that he would pass long before Rob would have setup FChat! Great pictures, however.
Some great pictures of Enzo Ferrari as a young and old man. In the driving picture with Enzo driving one of his road cars, look at the instument panel, at the gauges. I look at the Tachometer and see it is well into the higher rpm range. Is Enzo into the REDLINE? I think so! Ciao..Paolo
Makes you think how Ferrari would run today if he was alive....probably the king of competition, track racing, and design master.
I really wish I could have met him. Too bad he did pass away. I owe that guy so much...I think he is too often overlooked. Most people just pay attention to the cars. In my opinion a real fan, or fanatic in my case, would also care about the master in charge. Sure hope there are V12's up there Enzo!!
A couple more of The Man! I wonder who's Boxer? Almost makes me ashamed to drive mine in T-shirt and jeans. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks for these pics. 1st pic ive seen of him behind the wheel of a boxer. Would be good to know who owns this boxer now. Could be anyone of the LHD boxer owners out there....
Those last 2 look like POOR POOR P-chops. Looking at the top one, you can see a blue denim shirt under the rest of the belt.
Now that you point that out, Hmmm, maybe, I don't know. They were posted in a Boxer thread some time ago. Sorry if they're p-chops. John
Absolutely photoshop junk. How did Enzo's hair get such a nice reflection in the first shot when there wasn't any direct sun (no shadows)? And to those who wonder where you can get pictures of Enzo, try books, you know, there the things that we had before the internet. There are lots of them with pictures of Enzo and all sorts of stuff that you can't find here.
I completely Agree! Enzo Ferrari is slowly being forgotten, and the type of cars are getting further away from the original philosophy... wether the road cars are better now or not is not the issue, its the thought that one guy was deciding yes we will make that car and do it this way, where as now its down to a team... and its done to maximize the brand, etc... all good business moves, but the true cashet of Ferrari is slowly fading away... When I was 13, I wrote to Mr. Ferrari - 1982 and basically was saying how sorry I was for the loss of Gilles Villeneuve, and how I thought Ferrari truly was the World Champion etc... asked if he could give me an autograph and told him I would like to visit the Factory some day... I sent the letter in December of 1982... in February of 83 I got this large envelope in the mail from Italy.. with the Ferrari stamp on it, I opend it and it contained a brochure with a small card that had in Italian and English with the name of the person to contact to arrainge a factory visit! a couple days later I was looking at the brochure and noticed that the picture of Enzo had a signature next it is and it was smudged.... so it dawned on me that he had signed it for me!!! It is one of my more treasured possesions! I recieved several other letters from the Factory prior to his death, Invitation to the 40th anniversary ... and when he died, I got a card from Piero Lardi Ferrari expressing thanks for the sympathy card that I sent... I would doubt if you would ever get di Montezemolo's autograph or even a response from him personally... thats the difference... it was Enzo's world and he ruled it his way!
That is a truely awesome story. That must have immense value to you, something you pass down in the family...so jealous.
It does have tremendous personal value to me, I remember I showed it to Fred Repass one time and he said oh its probabbly a copy signature... but I have had it professionally looked at and its been deemed authentic... anywho.... its in my home office surrounded by all my Ferrari models... kinda like a littel alter to Ferrari...
I guess i can't fool you......way too smart buddy. By the way yes i did it Photoshop junk and it's my Boxer.
