I was picking my car up from service and Gary told me that they just got a Enzo yesterday. If anyone cares they just put on the showroom today. Awesome car! Did it belong to someone in AZ before?

Weird, it was in the showroom last week. I wonder if it was just on display? Gary in the service dept said they had just got it and it was for sale.

Maybe Bing is bored of it and decided to sell. He already unloaded his black 430 on consignment with Scottsdale Ferrari.

Was glad I got to drive it while he had it.

Is that Bing Hu you are referring to? Man, that guy gets a new Ferrari practically every time I have seen him.

Yup. That's the guy. I went to one of his parties in Silverleaf this past spring. It was a Thursday night and I asked to drive one of his cars (since 6 of them were there). I was hoping he would toss me the keys to the Enzo. I got the keys to the black 430 and he said "bring it back on Sunday". (Side note, I do know him well enough for him to toss me the keys. I am not just some random stranger that he met).

I had a great time at PIR with it that weekend (yes, he knew I was taking it to the track).

Too bad he sold the Enzo, I was really hoping that I could get a ride before he got rid of it. I wonder if he is trying to make room for an FXX or maybe that 1,000bhp Bugatti.

Gentlemen, might I suggest you use a little discretion rather than post someone elses first and last name, number of vehicles owned, and personal residence on the web?

I don't think anyone posted where he lives. The party he threw was inside the Silverleaf community. He is designing a parcel of 27 homes there and was hosting a large, outdoor, party to promote his next project.

He doesn't currently live in Silverleaf, and I wouldn't post where he lives on a message board.

As for his first and last name, well, there are only so many Enzo's around so it really isn't that big of a secret who owns them.

As for total number of vehicles he owns... I don't even know the total number. I have only been to his airplane hanger here in town and haven't been to his other storage facility in California. I have seen other people post pictures of events that he has thrown at the hanger, so I don't think that it is a big secret.

OK, let me try to spell it out for you........

Those of us who share our car collections with fellow enthusiasts (see our collections in public or by invitation at our home, ride with us, or even drive our cars) find it really creepy and remotely threatening when our names, car VIN#, home locations, business locations, hypothetical sources of income, etc. are spilled into public forums by those who are demonstrably insensitive. No laws or personal confidences have been broken, just basic etiquette has been violated. The down side is that fellows like myself, and those with truly grand collections, become increasingly reluctant to expose our cars to the public view.

If you really don't think that maintaining anonymity is an issue, why haven't you filled-out your profile and why don't you use your name as your FerrariChat ID?

I apologize for demonstrating some insensitivity. That was not my intention.

Regarding my profile, I wasn't hiding anything, I just don't post here very often and had completely forgotten about it. I have updated it now, in case you are interested.

I don't use my name as my ID because I use the same ID on several message boards and like people to know who I am.

I think that this thread has run it's course and I will go back to just lurking and reading (and privately lusting for a F430).

    Thanks,

    Adam

Bad day in the salt mines? :)

You are right, it does get a little creapy, especially when you see your stuff posted on a forum by someone else.
