Sorry if this is a repost but could see anything about it in this section.

The Sunday times this week in the Ingear section run the story of the Enzo FXX by EDO which was made from a normal Enzo therfore making the EDO version road legal, they claim very similar figures to the origianl FXX, and from what it says in the paper they wanted to prove it is faster than an original, but Ferrari refuse. So they want to put it on the track with Top Gear, as ( if you didnt see recently) Michael Schumacher came and wiped 6 seconds off the fastest lap time, although the only real way to see if it could beat the fxx driven by schumacher around the top gear track would be for shumacher to drive the edo version round too, but I dont think that is going to happen.

Here is the article from the times

Again sorry if it is a repost, but thought some people might like to see this.

I seriously doubt it'll be quicker than a normal FXX backed by the factory.

Last time I checked the edo FXX produced the same amount of power as the FXX itself and is 100KG lighter than the Enzo.

Agreed that doesn't look like an FXX at all especially the nose.

Anyways how is it supposed to work when Ferrari keep the car at the factory without actually delivering it?

you CAN keep the car at home. Most keep it at the factory. Its just news papers making it up what a bad deal the FXX seems to be.

The car belongs to the owner. Period. They can do whatever they want with the car including taking it home or shipping wherever they want to.

Roger Penske had his FXX in the Wynn Ferrari showroom for many months a few years back. The previous GM was a friend of mine and he actually started the FXX INSIDE the Wynn showroom (upstairs) for me and a few friends. Needless to say it was AWESOME! People were running out of the Poker room to come see what was happening! :)

...Zahir's car is still NOT an FXX. Just a yellow Enzo.

+1. And (unfortunately) now no longer an attractive Enzo at that ...

I know style etc is subjective...but my god, I wonder how much XTC one has to take to say 'Hmm, yes, the EDO enzo is looking much better than the stock Enzo'.

I'd have an Enzo with the EDO engine in though:D.

If the car ditched the ghetto Tinted lights, the ghetto black accents, and made it look a little more classy I would like it. The wheels are subjective but IMO they are also ghetto.

Nonetheless that car has a lot of HP and I sure as hell would love to drive it!

+1. No doubt that it would be a 100% improvement if it was simply a yellow Enzo with some of the treatments and the stock wheels. All the graphics, tinting, and ugly wheels really detract from it. As for the HP improvements - I'm sure it would solicit a s**t eating grin from the best of the heavy footers! :)

Those 'tinted lights' are actually the end bits of the new exhaust system.
    The lights are placed underneath.

Body is all stock, except for the rear bumper, which is just 'bolt on'.

Stickers are, of course, a way to attract attention, as this is Zahir's demo car.

My mistake...he painted the lower parts of the sideskirts and front bumper, which makes it look like a novitec aero kit.

no...its just that the ZR enzo was previously done with some novitec bits. I thought novitec made aero parts etc but it turned out black parts where painted. thought it looked odd.

I believe the only Novitec stuff this Enzo ever had were the tinted rear lights (when he had them) and rims. I have seen it many times in person up here, before and after the modifications. The exterior changes are brutal.
