The headlight housing on the Enzo discolors after some use. Does anyone know how much use is required to cause the housing to discolor? I dont know if it is actually discoloration or the plastic (or whatever it is) starts to get soft and causes it to look fuzzy. But it is very unappealing.

Do anyone know how long it takes for this to happen? 30 minutes driving in the cold night? 4 hours? accidentally leave it on overnight in the garage?

Do you have an Enzo that you're worried about this happening to? If you're referring to the rainbow-looking prism effect from pictures, it's due to the way light looks off the plastic.
I've seen several moderately driven Enzo's, and the headlights look perfect, but perhaps they're not driven at night.

Are you saying that from experience ? The Enzo is almost 3 years old and her headlights are still perfect . The car sleeps in the garage and under the cover but is used quite often.

HAHA! I think you have got mixed up with pictures that look like discolouration on the headlights. This is actually caused by the use of a polarizer on the camera. Cheers.

I think I know the problem he is talking about..... I have seen a couple of Enzos with headlights that look kind of fogged from the inside, apparently it's covered under warranty. Both were cars that were used regularly from what I understand, dunno much more.....

The problem is when moist/mist gathers on the underside of the glass, I've seen it also.

The Carrera GT was actually recalled for the very same reason.

Yes. This is the problem. When I first saw this on other Enzos, i thought it was a moisture issue. But I was told it is a known defect and due to heat build up. As far as I know, if you replace the lens, you still will get this problem again and that is where my question comes in.

Nobody really knows what it takes to cause this problem (hours of driving at night, etc) but an Enzo owner might. So that is why I posted this question on the forum. Maybe an Enzo owner out there has driven a night extensively and has never seen this -- or perhaps someone took it out for a long trip for a few hours or let it idle in the garage for 20 minutes (so no air flow over the lens) and that caused it to discolor.

The Carrera GT fogging problem was due to a bad seal and hopefully the recall fixed the problem.

Ive noticed that when you drive the car at night, this especially comes from cars near the ebach or close to that the mositure builds in through the minor cracks/crevices and more or less fogs it up and if you let it sit it eventually causes build up. I've got one right now with this same sort of build up, if they only made it nice and easy to lift up the lens cover, it would be great!
