There's an Enzo up for grabs being sold via a private seller. I'm sure someone can find out the VIN and such as it has a rebuilt title due to a front-end collision.

It is NOT Ali's Enzo as it's a rosso corsa exterior and not yellow. Perhaps it is his neighbors as he has one? (It's located in Winter Park).

Surprised no one has "washed" the title on the car to at least lift some of the stigma from the crash.

So the question is, will a rebuilt Enzo still command a price that high? I think I'd pay it if I were in the market for one, following a thorough PPI of course.

I am pretty sure it would be hard to wash that title considering there was so much controversy around it's sale. There was a big write off from chub insurance when they paid Don off then sold it at an action for a 600k loss.

I'm not suggestion that anyone should try to conceal the history - that, as you say, would be impossible given the attention this car has already received. I was simply suggesting that from a paperwork standpoint washing the title might be a good idea. I realize very few potential Enzo owners wouldn't have the cash, but it would be difficult to finance or insure a vehicle with this stamp on the paperwork, even at significantly less than full market value.

A simple title transfer to another state or two that don't have strong title laws would serve to clean the title of it's "Rebuilt" history. Happens all the time with wrecked or totaled cars that someone has put back together. It's not the most ethical thing to do of course - might even be illegal in some ways.

In Fl. it is illegal to try and wash a title and then re-register the car for sale after it has been branded by an insurance company. There was a guy in NY who tried the same thing on mike peters Mc Claren and got caught by the state of FL.
