I found a couple Enzo key's for a pretty decent price. Scooped them up. I am still super indifferent on the idea on using a 'million dollar key' on a $30k car. I've read all the threads on how to do it. Here are the greatest hits: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/138577591-post62.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/137845023-post342.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/137906979-post343.html What are your thoughts on the swap: Awesome? Indifferent? Don't care? dou**e-factor is at an all time high? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I voted yes. I would love to have one, but currently need to direct funds towards other items that require attention.
If you don't have your originals then go for it. Its kind of a novel idea. Or you could sell them to enzo owners and profit....(maniacal laugh)...hahahhahaha!!!!!
I've had one of these sitting on my shelf for a couple years now as "art" but I think I'll go ahead and convert it. One question, why does everyone add weight to it - nickels, pennies, nuts. Seems like it has a good weight already and I don't want it any heavier.
It's not for me. I have the 2 original Neiman ignition keys, and the 2 original door keys that say Dino on one side and Cromodora on the other. I would like to have a Dino key fob, though!
If I had one, I would use it. I wouldn't leave it sitting on a shelf. On the other hand, I wouldn't spend a small fortune for one either. Why? I have the car (328). I don't really care what my key looks like, it's the car that's important, IMHO. YMMV.
Here's mine that a friend gave that I use for my 308. I just have to remove the original and cut my 308 key to fit. Then, I had it wrapped with clear shielding like the one use for the cell phone to protect it from scratching when it's inside pocket with other stuff like coins. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I wouldn't personally. I went for an F50 blank since it doesn't need modification and has the same shape as the Neiman. To me the newer key design looks out of place for a 308/328, but if you like it then sure why not. Nothing wrong with using what you like.
I've got the same one! But it carries my spare keys and stays upstairs, while I have a SF shield keychain for regular use. I have both original sets of keys and I wouldn't cut them. I plan on buying a blank and cutting that one instead.
How about a picture of the key in the dash to see how it looks in the car? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Yes, I have many keys for my car. I fabbed an "Enzo" ignition key (Brown Met colored to match the car) and got a plastic black with horsey door/fuel key. The originals are put away and no longer used for anything other than sources for cutting new keys.
Ok you guys are making me paranoid, my original keys are worth more than the car....I drive my car almost every day now while I'm hunting for a new DD, am I hurting my keys' value with all that mileage? What's the ring change interval?
Obviously my door key - that says Dino - is an OEM key. Is the other one - that's stamped 'Errebi/Made In Italy' - an original key? Should I bury them in a drawer and never think about them? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The keys DO WEAR and will eventually not open the locks. I have issues with one of the original door/fuel door keys. It opens the door fine, but the fuel door on a very intermittent basis. The Key Ring Change Interval (lazy a§§ed no attnetion to detail, Italians ) is not mentioned in the OM so let your conscience be your guide.
Looks like it is but I do not have a GT4. Guys? Me personally, in the safe they go. In my case, both sets. And I still have two more sets in the key box with enough blanks of various kinds to make probably 10 more sets.
Just ordered some brass and steel blanks from keys4classics.com You guys are making me nervous... Sent from my iPhone (Which means I am probably sitting by the car, confused.)
I have all the original keys for my car but wouldn't mind having a late model red plastic one for the ignition and a generic for the doors - not that I care, but no one in my world would know the difference.
