I sat in the Giallo Enzo at Maranello Motorsport the other day. If you are over 6ft, strike it off your aspirational list. My head was firmly wedged in the roof at 183cm. It would be impossible with a helmet on, so no track work. The cabin is also pretty tight and leg room isn't particularly generous. The F50 is like a limo in comparison to the Enzo.

    Just thought you should know.

    ;)

BTW, the showroom now has 2X F50's, 3X F40's, 2x 360 GT's, the 550GT and a McLaren F1. Great to see some significant Ferraris in Melbourne.

damn, looks like I will have to spend my money elsewhere :D
They sure seem to have a nice collection of cars there - puts our dealer to shame :( Do they have a website?

Remember that Enzo has the Mid size seat and pedal set up.

You can change all that for the tall driver option, where the seat has less padding and is effectively lower.

I've sat in the FCCC Enzo (and F50 and F40) and found that it was 'comfy' and I'm 5ft 9in. I agree, anyone north of 6 ft would begin finding it very restrictive indeed. Interestingly, I found that the F50 was the most focussed of the three super Ferraris that I've sat in; uncluttered, minimalist, relatively roomy. It is my favourite.

Everything is always for sale. My favourite saying and it certainly applies here.

This is the current stock list, although the F50 mentioned ISN'T the one listed.
I'll have a look for the S/N next time; but it's Rosso with 6000km's. Very, very prominent carbon fibre weave on the roof FWIW

The McLaren has been pictured elsewhere previously I believe.

Can't imagine who will buy them in Australia. The number of buyers with a lazy $3 million or so to spend must be close to zero?

who cares what they think, they can't stop you going in there to have a look - they can't tell whether you have the $$$ or not ;)
I often visit the Ferrari dealer here to have a look or take some pics and they have never had a problem, they are quite friendly with me infact as I think they have figured out after 150 visits I must be a fan :D
BTW, if you do go then you must promise me some high-res pics since they have an awesome lineup at the moment :)

They are a private showroom, and unless you phone in advance you may get a frosty reception. They don't need to sell the cars to walk in customers.

Phone first, be honest, and ask for a look. +61 3 9421 3488

Scuds is quite famous for not letting people in - and occassionally stuffing up big time... ML was particularly harsh in his day:)

I heard that Scuds was quite... err Liberal, in letting people in...

I heard how the Kings Cross "ladies" used to hang around outside the door at night, and push the internal auto door pressure mat from the outside to get in and "entertain" clients in the showroom..... may be a rumour, but they changed the door mat system......

I'd suggest a rumour... the door release is on the wall and always has been AFAIK. But don't let the truth get in the way of a good story :)
