i noticed yer 575..sweet...i had a 550..back in 2000..man..sweet memories of that ride..

I dont use it though as you tend to miss out on some of the real stupidity.

Paul- Could be a fun thread. I love my 575 and, unlike the majority here, it is a real stretch for me to afford. I thought the 599 could have been made into a really nice spider to compete with the CGT a bit better. Looks like the HGTE package is all it will receive, however. Performance-wise, I guess, the CGT has it, but the two are close. Prices on 599s are now in the sub-$250K range for some 2007s, quite a bit less than a CGT, but still close for most 599s. Would probably cause even more knife-fights than the CGT vs Enzo. The 599 will likely depreciate much faster. Now I will stand back and take my hits.

Dont sweat it Paul. We get this kind of thing a lot here, so we tend to be pretty cynical. And by a lot I mean a TON! My sig has a short list of them but they are legion it seems.

Agreed, my neighbor has a cgt and the sound of the enzo doesnt compare!!!! I have seen and heard the enzo on the road but I have had the chance to drive the cgt on two occassions...one word only, WOW!!!!

CGT is my favorite car. although, i don't have an enzo and have never even seen one in person so i'm not going to out and out say it's not better. one of the things i understand about the enzo is that it has some insane level of downforce ... WITHOUT a wing. just look at the nurburgring times. i do dislike the paddle shift though (for a street car).

 

i would bet the enzo is easier to drive than the cgt. i mean at the limit, not getting groceries.

the enzo all day...but a carrera with straight pipes is quite nasty!

 

a- i can take a joke /give one out/and laugh at one as much as anybody
b- if i felt the need to show off..after lurking for 1 yr..and posting about my CGT..and then saying i dont have pics available..YOU"D think i'd WANNA post pics..when the reality is/was..i didint want to..and couldnt , even if wanted to....IF i felt the need to show off..blah blah..when in reality..i am as humble as they come.."there but for the grace of G-d go i"(is that how it goes?? )..you can take all my CRAP away form me, and at the end of the day, i have my wife of 8 yrs. (together 14)..and my kids..and i still would consider my LUCKY..i have made it and lost it too many times to remember..and if i didnt have a sense of humor..i'd be 6 ft under...the heavy metal is awesome..but they are toys, albeit great toys..and most get by without ever having owned em..so..i guess its doable..perhaps too much persoanl info..but hopefully ya get a better idea of where i am coming from..

i just looked back at the original question, which was: which has better build quality and reliability. given my experience with the f430 (and CGT), i simply cannot fathom that the enzo can beat the CGT in either department.

as to which might be a better car, does the sound make it better?

I never stated I was actually looking to purchase the 997 Turbo, was just comparing them, Joe the plumber, in fact a child could read that thread and be able to tell that I was not actually pretending to buy those cars.

Also, on the other sites, we actually did buy a Walther, obviously not in my name, my fathers. I do own a few Movados, and am getting a Rolex Submariner as a graduation gift.

I personally think it's sad that you care so much about my actions.
