My wife was in Frankfurt last week on business and decided to go to the Auto Show (what a wife eh?) She took a couple of interesting pictures. Is the first the true F60 (based on the license plate) or just a "run of the mill" Enzo? Also, the "GT" looking F430 is sharp as hell, don't you think?

Just a run of the mill Enzo...it seems like everybody has one. :)

    I don't care for that F430 though.

Purists will hate the 430, but I personally don't mind it! Aftermarket additions to the modern cars, when tastefully done, can add a great deal of visual "pow" to the already gorgeous and agressive lines.

See those red tires in the background on the second pic? How ugly is that!

I've seen those before in other displays. I think they are just for display because I've never seen them on actual cars. I've only seen them on stands like that. I dont know what the red is all about. Maybe to draw your attention to the display or so, even though I dont think Ferrari has much trouble in that area.

I don't know about those red tires but I do know that someone else is making another red tire. There is a tire company, not sure the name, that is making a red tire for drifters. Remember when BFGoodrich made the tires with the blue, red, or yellow striping so that when you do a burnout they would leave different colors on the ground? They are along the same lines. They are making red tires to produce red smoke during the contest. I was really impressed with the whole thing, even as an anti-drifter. I don't know if they are going to make different colors other than red but I do know that at the comp a set of Yokohama tires created green smoke before they blew, but it wasn't part of the design.

Oh I didnt know that. I never got into the drifting seen but that would be kinda cool. Different colored smoke would be interesting.

Being a part of the Skyline scene, i tend to see lots of drifting stuff going on, and the coloured smoke with a professionally driven drift car looks very impressive. I dont think your average car on the road or F-car would suit coloured tyres though. Good gimmic for advertising i suppose, being red and all that. In fact come to think of it, they could do a very good promo "Red Arrows" type scene for a good effect :)

I looked out your profile, wow man, that car is great. I don't know about the UK but in the U.S., you have to import a skyline and even after that, it is crazy hard to get one and nearly $90,000 after being legalized.

The kumho ecsta mx-c was the tire that created the red smoke when it burned, but I think it was still a black tire.

I just searched and found that they will be selling them to the public soon in red and blue smoke.

They never ran the tire at the comp but they had it there (they were the sponsor of the event). The tire looked like marble because the red and black were mixed, but yes, it is mostly a black tire.
