Alot of enzo's are still for sale in the 1.1 million range, which is close to the price of a new Veyron. What would you all prefer, I know your biased to Ferrari's, but as much of a piece in history the Enzo is, so is the Veryone, they loose millions of dollars on every cars, its almost unrealistically fast.

I'd go with the Enzo based on appearance (among other reasons).

To be brutally honest, if I had that kind of money, the Veyron would probably be the last car I'd look at. I don't like the look of it at all. If not an Enzo, I'd consider an MC12, Carrera GT, etc.

The answer is to test drive each car back to back and the one that stirs your blood and passion the most is the one to go for.

But how do you arrange the test drive? I guess if you have a million plus to spend then your name and money will open some doors... I think you can rent/hire an Enzo for a day not so sure about the Veyron though.

If it also has to appeal to your eyes - you cant beat Italian body curves.

Also the Enzo has been crash tested to destruction in Malibu (see Malibu Enzo thread) at 150mph and the owner walked away uninjured. I believe strongly that your choice of supercar should be influenced by the high speed crash pictures to see what your chances of survival are, see also wreckedexotics.com. The 550 Maranello comes out well and was my choice.

    Regards,
    Ron

After seeing & hearing two Veyrons at the Amelia Island Concours earlier this month, there's no doubt....I'd go with the Enzo.

Somehow, I like the Veyron. It is such an instant icon. But it has to be the Enzo, since I'd probably want to drive it and stuff and I can imagine the Enzo being more fun and engaging.

I guess the Veyron might cost more for maintenance, due to its complicated engineering?

I'd have to say the Enzo as well.

The Veyron is deffinetly a technical masterpiece, but the reviews I've read all had the reviewers saying: "Well it is damn fast, but theres not much of a sound or steering feel, and the car feels heavy".

Nevertheless most reviews were positive, but I like the look and sound of the Enzo more. And at the speeds were talking about here, I dont think I would care at all that one car can go 0-60 in under 3 while mine can only do it in 3.2 (or whatever). Trust me, you wont be able to tell. Its all about the experience.

That's an interesting point. As expensive as the Enzo is, I gotta figure that maintaining the Veyron would be right up there too.

Would only pick the F roadster, and as amazing as it is, I would rather have a Ferrari or even a Lamborghini LP640. I mean, you could get a Koenigsegg CCX, but why, when you could have a "FCar or a Lambo"

Yeah, but its not 0-60 that matters, its moving speed, if a Mclaren F1 can beat an Enzo in acceleration, and you can let a McLaren F1 go to 120 before you take off and beat it to 200, That has to clear up how much acceleration there is, however, it is true, its definently not needed.

How much is an Enzo for a typical maintenaince? Anyone know? Like the different service's, how much are we talking, Im sure you would almost have to double the cost for the Veyron, with 10 radiators, and turn signal sticks costing upwards of $2,500.

after seeing both, hearing both, sitting inside both, and being near or in both when they punch the throttle, its not a tough choice. Enzo all the way.

As far as I know the Veyron is a cool $1.8 million, which is a significant amount over a secondhand Enzo.

An Enzo was also crash tested at roughly the same speed in Italy a few months before. The safety cell disintergrated, the driver ejected and killed (and left in several pieces scattered down the road).

The Malibu 'crash test' example is utterly useless. The only reason he survived is because nothing solid impacted the occupant compartment. It was pure luck the electricity pole sliced through the middle of the car, and not through the cabin. Besides the pole, that Enzo didn't hit anything - just skidded along the road and slid and jumped along the embankment, for a very long distance, allowing the energy to be dissipated slower.

Italian body curves? Enzo has no curves, it's all edges and lines.
Hmmm, this is a tough choice, i guess if you want to buy the car for track experience, Enzo all the way, but to be used frequently on public roads, veryon will be a better choice as it is much more luxurious and comfortable. As for looks, i like both so it's hard to choose. I guess it all depends on what you want, a lightweight (compartively speaking) supercar or an ultimate super GT

Enzo or Veyron? I think all they have in common is four wheels and two seats.

One is a race car for the streets, the other a technological wonder that drives like a normal car at low speeds, but then goes faster than the race car when pushed.

I would like both. But if you force me to take just one, the Veyron would be easier to live with as it is more streetable. Besides where I live, seeing an Enzo happens at least once per month. I do not think I will see that many Veyrons in the years to come.

Veyron for me... I loved this car since the earlier years when rumors started swirling and prototypes were being released. A 16 cylinder with 4 turbos is tough to beat. But I've also never been a huge Enzo fan to begin with.

this is funny ... aren't we talking about Japanese angular Enzo design?
BTW Veyron is much more curvier ...

Veyron is not a supercar !!! (for driving impressions matters)
but is a luxury comfortable coupe. which still is able to spank most raw performance oriented so called supercars

I'd get both and a SLR for quick grocery trips

If the question is ltd to enzo vs veyron. ENZO.

If the question became $1.1M for a car/cars:

    f40 + 430Spider + 275GTB.

I like the looks and performance of both cars. Money being no object, I would love to own both of them, but I would drive the Enzo more. Since the Veyron is rare, it would only be driven on special occasions. The Enzo (Modena Yellow of course) would be my weekend car. Does anyone have a picture of both cars side-by-side?

For me, if money were no object, definately the Enzo, although I do like the Veyron. A writer for EVO (i think) rode along with Jay Kay when he took delivery of his Enzo, and the quote that stuck with me the most. (Paraphrase) "As the revs climb, it souds as though the engine has crawled through the letter box opening and is humping the back of your head." Nuff said.
