Why isn't there an Enzo Spider?

The F40 looked cool topless in outrun the video game but thats something that shouldn't be attempted in real life just like the Enzo.

I couldn't imagine how the doors would open up.

Outrun 2006 for the PSP, had an Enzo Spider... pretty cool, but it was not my cup of tea.

The basic reason is that the Enzo is in absolutely no way ready for that transformation. The redesign necessary for the change to a spider would be extensive to say the least, because it is a "fastback" type bodystyle. There is no way that a folding top could be fit to the Enzo.

Who needs folding tops anyways? Targas are the way of the future!!! (actually, they are the way of the old, but as cars get smaller with less packaging, you'll see more targas I hope!)

What he said. Too much weight/complexity in modern power tops.

I remember reading something a while back that lead me to believe that Mr. Losee might be rebuilding his car, with the help of a friend and some *spare* Enzo parts...

It would be a cool thing to see. If it happens.
