In this month's EVO magazine they test, among other things, the 430, and a Pagani Zonda coupe and the new Zonda convertible. In the stellar review of the Zonda, the writer made an interesting comparative comment about the Enzo.

    I quote:

"The levels of grip remain surreal, there's barely any body-roll to speak of, yet you're encouraged to push harder than you'd think sensible, simply because of the information overload coming at you from pedals, wheels and feet. To me it's (the Zonda) the exact opposite of what the ENZO feels like, where a massive amount of faith in Ferrari engineering is needed to really push to the outer edges, so hard are its limits to read from the driver's seat."

Any real world experiences to verify or contradict this view?

the closest i've come is reading the numbers. its an impressive car, but its outlandish styling really doesn't scream "race car" in my eyes like an enzo does. it just doesn't look like it would have the balance or appropriate downforce to keep it as nimble through the bendies as the enzo.

but then again, I've never even SEEN either, let alone driven them!

Most Enzo owners I have spoken with say the car has a much higher learning curve than other superexotics they have driven, so this sounds like a normal statement.

Yes, driven both, though at well under their limits. I do agree that the Enzo insulates you more, but it is still phenomenal to drive.

At Benny's New Years party last year he compared the Zonda and Enzo per my request- absolutely loves the Zonda, but in terms of performance, really wouldn't come close- a great driver though, very comfortable...
