I'd love to see them take the green flag from side by side on a race course, where my money's on the Enzo.

That might be a losing proposition...maybe not...but I wouldn't put *too* much money on the red one...

As much as us Ferrari fans would like to thnk the Enzo would win such a race, I think the Veyron would come out ahead. Far ahead. Now maybe a race between an FXX and a Veyron would be more equal?

The Enzo has an absolutely enormous weight advantage. I wouldn't be so sure that the Veyron is quicker on the track; in fact, I would say the exact opposite.

Well.....I wouldn't put it past some internationally distributed magazine to do a cover story, "Battle of the Cattle." Let's stay tuned, and see who wins.

I don't know, everyone says that they veyron handles so well--- and it has such a power advantage!! It would be interesting to see, though I'd place my bet on the Veyron. There aren't enough turns in the world to outweight that power advantage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The weight, again, is going to be a huge issue for track performance.

i dont have a picture of them side by side, but i saw one of each within 2 weeks of eachother, very up close and personal. ive got at least 100 pics of each one individually, so i can post the links to those if you want them.

i was lucky enough to get a ride in an Enzo just 3 days ago and holy shooot its extremely quick. seriously felt like a fighter jet on the street when the driver stepped on it. also, just 10 days before that, i got to be right next to a veyron start up and accelerate away and to be brutally honest, it didnt match up in any way shape or form to anything of my Enzo experiences

My guess is the AWD and the massive hp advantage combined with an extra gear means a stock enzo just couldnt keep up; even if it is the better cornering car.

Irrespective of any weight advantage, many of the European magazines have already discussed comparisons, and times on the same road courses. The Veyron comes out ahead every time. Power, suspension, AWD, etc.

Not a fair comparison as the FXX is really a race car, but I would like to see track times comparing it to the Veyron. And don't forget, the Enzo too is more of a race car than the Veyron.

What type of track we talking here? I would think a Nascar type track(or any track that had a decent straight away) the Veyron could more than make up for the moments it would lose in the turns.

I'm not sure what comparisons everyone is talking about because I've only read about on road comparisons and even then the driver in the Veyron makes a comment about how it is faster than the Enzo. We know it's faster in a straightline, but I've noticed in every article that they point out that the Veyron does hide its weight, but it cannot handle the twistys anything like a racier car like CGT, Enzo or Zonda F.

That doesn't mean the Enzo wins necessarily, but it does have advantages too.

hard to say, may be the veyron will be faster in a single lap race or something, but after about 10 laps or something, the veyron will probably overheart the engine, the brake, the tyre.. just about everything.. haha

No. I don't think so, remember the weight, the "ground effect" and also the geometry of the suspensions: push rod system with horizontal springs and dampers, just like a F1 car.

Veyron might be faster on a straight line, but on a track, to me there's no match.

I think other cars would be faster too: Zonda F, Carrera GT, Maserati MC12.

I forgot to mention the FXX, but only 'cause it's not a street legal car.

I would love those pictures as well. I think that on a track like Nurenburgh(sp) or something with twisties, the Enzo would stand a decent chance of at least being in the same league. On something with lots of straight, I would think that the Veryon would pull enough to make a significant lead on the Enzo.

I like the veyron and it is faster in a straight line but give me a chance between an Enzo and a Veyron ill take the Enzo in a heartbeat. Bugatti did a great job with the veyron but they could have gotten a lot more out a quadruple turo charged W16 motor.

Yes they could have gotten over the 1000 hp figure but at the cost of engine longevity. So they had to make this a ROAD car that lasts... not a race car that lasts 2 days

    Clearly I remember this stat 0 - 200 MPH
bugatti was ONLY 9 seconds faster than Ferrari.

9 seconds is a lifetime when racing

let's not forget ENZO was never able to catch McLaren (sad but true)
and we all know Mc Laren has been brutally dethroned by the Mighty Veyron.

...So not even a fair performance comparision here

Bugatti Veyron is in a league of it's own

P.S. we all want to see a pic with these 2 milestones side by side
