Has anyone put the Enzo up against a F50. I know that the "Enzo would spank a F50" on paper, but how do they fair in the flush on a track. I'm just curious how Ferrari's best strickly mechanical super car (F50) holds up against the F1 technology beast, the Enzo. I'm not to intrested in comparing the F40 to the others, beaucse we all know a few tweeks to the F40 and it will leaving anything behind..

Well, if your looking for a one on one track race, the Enzo would still win. Its lap time around the Fiorano circuit was 1'25.1, whereas the F50's lap time was 1'27.00. That lap time is .5 slower that even the 575.

Actually, the F50 was 3 seconds quicker around Fiorano than the F40. Dario Benuzzi felt that with slicks, the F50 time would drop to 1.23. As a comparison, the 333sp did it in 1.11 and the '94 spec F1 car did it in 1.00 !

The above info is just for entertainment purposes...I doubt anyone buys a car solely based on track times do they ?

***figures all quoted from Dario Benuzzi in "F50" an autocar publication. (for the hairsplitters)
