What do you guys think of the new Pagani Zonda F? And how would you compare it to the Enzo? Automobile magazine is quoted to have said "We wouldn't be surprised if the new Pagani Zonda F brings Ferrari Enzo owners to tears as they realize they spent their money on the wrong Italian supercar." Article: http://www.automobilemag.com/auto_shows/2005_geneva/0503_pagani_zonda/
I think people are always going to try to stir up controversy by taking jabs at Ferrari. Whenever a new Lamborghini or Porsche comes out they always talk of de-crowning Ferrari and whatnot. And in certain cases it may be true (Gallardo vs 360). But to me, it doesnt really matter. Its like argueing wether your 100yard long yacht is better than the other brands 99yard yacht. Their both completely amazing, and when your in one, your not going to notice that 1 yard (or the .1 second shaved off the 0-60 time) that the magazines always talk about. Its an experience, and if all comes down to c*ck measuring then your kind of missing the point.
The Zonda is a nice car but its a kit car. They day they ll engineer their own engine , i ll change my mind.
There is no doubt that it is a nice car. The problem is that most people will think that it is some kind of kit car when you drive it somewhere.
I need to see some actual Performance numbers until i judge, but currently between looks.... Im sorry Enzo, but the Pagani has won me over in the looks department.
congrats to pagani if they built one car that can beat the Enzo. that doesnt mean **** because they dont have the heritage that Ferrari has.
I'd take the F over the Enzo for sure! Why would that be a problem? The real car nuts will know what it is, even then, who cares? YOU know what it is, and YOU know it's faster/nicer/better then thier car, thats all that counts.
Zonda by a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGGGGG way. The Zonda make the Ferrari look like a cheap toy. The CF work on the Zonda is outstanding..can't get any better. The materials, fit and finish of the interior and exterior panels, is the best on the market barring no car. It is the highest performing car on the road, and you can really use it. It has a proven engine that can be serviced by an M-Benz dealer if the need arose. And the sound is incrediable. I'm sorry but the Zonda is by far the best car of any of the exotics currently offered no matter what the price.
I prefer the Zonda. I love the design and it sounds fantastic -far better than the Enzo IMO. http://img63.imageshack.us/img63/9743/lemans20050103ny7bd.jpg
It's an incredible car with just about the coolest interior I've ever seen. Don't know if I would take it over an Enzo. To those of you saying the Zonda is faster, it isn't. Look at the numbers. It can only match the Enzo at best.
That's the way I would have put it. I have lusted after the Zonda for years. People who think it is a kit car have no clue.
I love both the same. I like the interior of the Zonda more. 7.3 liter V12 Mercedes AMG engine is awesome. The noise of that car is incredible! (I don't how many times I'v seen that famous Zonda F video.) I don't like the colors of both Zonda F made so far. for me its either....rosso scuderia Enzo with tubi exhaust or black Zonda F and replace the wheels with Zonda GR wheels. I'll be the first to say it.. if you think the Zonda is a kit car, what do you think about the McLaren? Its powered by BMW. What about the Lotus Elise? There aren't many half a million dollar kit cars running around with the kind of performance, looks, or construction of the Zonda or the F1, so to compare them to other kit cars is a very degrading statement. I emphathize, however. There's something special when a manufacturer builds everything and doesn't cut costs to outsource something else that would work, even if it works better. Its not quite pedigree, or maybe it is, because it feels something like that. I'd go with the Enzo, even over the Zonda's more wild/rakish/exotic look. Sunny
I think the same thing about the Zonda and the McF1 . Im not a fan of either. Both are great cars but not quite there in my book. The Elise is diff . Its a 20k£ car not 500k so i dont mind that much having a plebeian engine ..
No, what im saying is that you buy a car for what you like. He was saying the only prob with the F is that poeple will think its a kit car... Buy the car that pleases YOU.
I think both cars are awesome, and offer their owners each a different reward. The Zonda F has some of the most amazing finishes including the finest leather and CF I have ever seen. Not to mention it is extreamly unique and sounds AMAZING. The picture that was posted by F1racer doesnt do any justice to the Zonda... in fact it looks ugly in that pic! The Enzo, however, is well an ENZO! Need I say more? I would have a tough time choosing between the two
I don't know how someone could say that the Enzo is better than the Zonda F. Maby the FXX is better than the Zonda F but the Enzo isn't.
Now I'm surprised ! I thought you'd be biased about Zonda because of being from Argentina. btw I always felt the same way about car with outsourced engine such as Mc Laren, Zonda, Koenigsegg etc. ... is Saleen S7 powered by Ford too?
i like the zonda spider better than the coupe....still dont like the lights...its too bug eyed for my tastes....love the back, the interior and the quality of cf construction...but if i were a rich man, i would go for a more main stream car maker...one fire in the zonda factory and there goes any spare parts....i would actually take a carrera gt over both and save a few dollars..or hundreds of thousands of dollars...it sound better, looks nicer, imo, and is more likely to hold up as an everyday car with a large dealer network....
The thing I really like about the Zonda is that it is essentially a bespoke car. You can have it built to your own particular tastes. Super luxurious, or stripped down racer, whatever you want, they will build. I'd take mine with a full roll cage, fuel cell, Spartan interior, and racing seats. I also like the fact that you can get the Zonda with a traditional gearbox. Paddle shifters may be more efficient, but I love shifting the old fashioned way.
