So is there a 400SA with a GTE body on it? That's what I'd like to know, and if so, where is that car today?
I don't think so. Enzo had a 4-litre engine stuffed in a special built GTE in spring of 1961, but the car was soon taken apart and I would say it does not exist anymore. That's the car in post #66.
2257 is in Germany it is classiche certiefied as a 2257/SA I buy the car with a friend. We are surprised about the Paperwork/Documents which we received with the car.
I can second that. Was shown most of his cars around 2007/8, including the "oversize Lusso" which in fact is a SA, when I went to pick up a Modenese M-car I bought of him... Extremely interesting location ;-)
Hello all, I have been reading some old posts about Lusso #4715 so I'm going to try posting in this old thread. First time I've tried posting on this site so I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly! I'm also trying to send this to other addresses (via Trackbacks, is this the correct way?) I saw in the posts. My apologies in advance if uninterested. Anyway, I would like to get in touch with anyone who has knowledge of #4715, especially past and current owner/s. I owned #4715 in the 70's and 80's so I would like to catch up with it! I would love to fill in my part of it's history. Hope to get lots of responses. Alohaha
Chassis number is 4963, green with a beige interior. See the larger image attached as a pdf file below, or just shoot me a PM and I'll email a high-res version to you. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unfortunately, my copy of that image is no better than yours. Here are a couple more Enzo/330 GT pics: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are those 330s the same car? The license plates are different on the two with license plates (one doesn't have one), and one has some sort of fog lights. Also, did he particularly like 330GTs, or did he just happen for some reason to be photographed a lot during that period?
We are all too busy staring at the tach in this photo to notice that the steering wheel and A/C (?) seem incorrect for an S1 330 GT. I hate when owners bastardize their cars
I'll contribute a few pics I took of Enzo's 1962 Superamerica Coupe Aerodynamica last year at the Revs Institute in Naples Florida. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
EE on the plates stood for "Export". My dad bought a 1960 Fiat 2100 which was exported by his younger brother to the states and it was licesed in Italy with an EE plate.
My 2008 612 had EE plates! Now that you mention it, I suppose that last picture of the car with the EE plates was probably a customer delivery. Who wouldn't take the opportunity for a photo with Enzo and your new car?
I believe that this is a Series II car or an interim car. I believe that the steering wheel is a little smaller for cars with power steering, so this car should have power steering. The A/C is certainly in you face. Maybe it is a trial for a later A/C.
It probably worked pretty well, though. Enzo didn't mess around-- it gets hot in Maranello in the summer!
