I'm still interested in buying a '99 F355B. I'll have to sell/trade my '06 Vette to do the deal. I also have a Honda S2000. I live in LA and generally don't mind a stick shift in traffic. (Little worried about the F overheating though)

Any feedback about the "comfortability" of using an F355 as a daily driver in LA - particularly compared to the Vette or S - would be greatly appreciated.

Not a problem at all. I drive my 355 all the time in DC traffic... Picture 100 degrees with 90% humidity, scooting along at 2mph every few minutes for an hour or two straight, and it never had a problem with overheating. As long as the radiator fans don't stop working, you'll be fine. As for comfort, that's more subjective, but I'm pretty damn tall and it takes about 5 hours of straight driving for my knees or back to start bothering me.

That DC traffic handled with an F1 or 6-speed?

F1, although I've never pressed the 'automatic' button in the 2.5 years I've had it... I used to daily drive a twin turbo Supra with a single plate clutch that was either off or on, and that didn't bother me either. F1 seems to do fine in traffic. My first clutch got about 27k miles and I swapped it out while other work was being done, and it still had some life in it. I'm up to 37k and going strong, although I'll probably swap it again when I do the next major service this year, since the motor will be out anyway.

Uconn: that rocks! Frank's a good guy and will definitely take care of you.
