Yes, it was playing this evening on a local PBS station in Vermont, just south of Montreal.

This is good! I'm digging on hearing Slowhand get back to his roots.

Him playing Robert Johnson and Muddy on acoustic is definitely great music. Those songs were so simple and complex at the same time with slide work thrown in with finger picking and he plays it well. Glad to see him playing what he likes and paying tribute to the musicians that influenced him with little regard to the commercial aspect of it. Ironically, his MTV Unplugged performance was his best selling recording.

    Good stuff.

oh yes, oh yes he is fantastic.

Reminds me of seeing Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and the young Blues Saraceno in Houston at Fitzgeralds back in 89. What a show!

Oh yes, I am quite sure you can. For an old guy, EC can certainly still hit some licks....... I am actually thinking about sending in a donation so I can get the Royal Albert Hall DVD's. Even though I have some reservations about public television, I support some of the stuff they do.......

There's some good stuff on the local PBS station here in DFW, but they only whip out the good music shows when it's pledge time and they say "please send us money so we can continue to bring you quality performances like this one..." ...next pledge drive.

    Exactly,

I usually only watch them during the pledge drives. Just like the TV rating seasons.
