What means the code E5 on central panel of a 348 ?
It must be related with the AC because it doesn't works,.
I've been told I had to buy another central panel computer and it will cost more tham 1.000 euros...is that true?

The error code E5 is for the motor for the heater valve control.

    thank you Malcom.
Is it possible to change or fix the heater valve (number 8 item), or do i have to buy the all thing?

You can buy the valve as a spare part (#63306400), but I wouldn't replace it untill you have checked out the complete system. Whether it can be repaired depends on what is wrong with it, could be a simple fix, or as you say a replacement.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but what does the code 1212 mean on my 348's ECU?

Something to do with Lambada regulation?

    How is this fixed?

1212 is error type "Multiplicative value for the self-adaption lambda regulation". Basically it could be a number of things - a simple air leak or failure of the "cats" could bring up this code. The car needs to be hooked up to a SD1 tester for accurate diagnosis.

Before you head straight for the heater valve there are a number of other things to try - this console is notorious....

Also search on "348 a/c" and "348 air conditioning" and read up on the things you can do.

    Cheers

    Thanks again Kevin.
I’ve already tried all those steps, after removing the central console, but it didn’t worked. It was impossible to drive the car here in Portugal with hot air always entering the car.
My mechanic just closed the hot water valve (that’s what he told me!). Now there is not hot air but the E5 code still appears permanently, 4-5 seconds after starting the car.

No it's the Ferrari "Systems Diagnostic" computer, all Ferrari dealers will have one.
