Espada Rat-Rod

I really like it. NEVER thought I would. I wanted to hate it.
Shocked someone would do this. Sad they did it with a Series One.

Is it worth more than an excellent Series One? I certainly hope not. But it probably will sell for a lot more.

I think it would look way better if the rear wheels were tucked into the body work. Looks all wrong with them so far out, especially from the back.

 

This is just a joke, crap, nothing. There is just a fantastic engine inside that ugly thing.

 

Here's a fun question: As we've seen and talked about with many Lamborghini variants that have modifications to them, some a lot more than others aka basket cases, stupid mods to simple color change, can THIS be put back?

We've seen some seriously wronged car be put back to where they belong, like the day the left the factory.

 

I don't think there are any original Espada parts on that thing, except for the engine.

Anything can. All depends how much you are willing to spend. We have the ability to build you a brand new Duesenberg if you have the money. But in a market place that more and more rewards originality this would have none.

They have successfully redefined hideous.

I would not change it back.
I would make a handful of major changes. One being the width and wheels, that would be #1 priority.
It needs to evolve in a better direction.

 

What they were trying to do is pull off what is done with Model A Fords. Just doesn't work that way. The Ford had removable fenders, so the width didn't change, other than the tires. Looking at the Espada, I'm guessing it was not narrowed, so what you have design wise is something closer to a dually pickup with the fenders removed. If you look at the rear tires, they started to add to the body & then stopped. A narrower track and a little more body work would have been better, imo.
