You can watch ESPN3 on the internet for free. Google Espn3.com and then click on the stream.

Theoretically you should be able to watch practice at 9 PM Eastern on Thursday

Well, not sure why everyone was "high" on Sky coverage for F1, they are just like the whole NBCSports crew of years gone by, Hobbs, Matchett et al. I have to agree they have a strong Lewis bias.

They may have an obvious bias, but the commentary is still leaps above anything here in the USA

Just did have it checked and its perfect, thanks for asking though. I also had my eyes checked, they were better than 20/20, so I can read BS and sarcasm pretty well too. Well enough to hand out bans for attitudes/bating on the forum. Just a thought.

Robert's more restrained than I am. Derogatory sarcasm to a moderator, 7 day site ban.

I was reading something on line last night and it sounded like ESPN picked up the F1 rights in the US for free this year! The writer was in Forbes magazine and besides a lot of background on the connection between Disney and Formula 1 (Disney owns ABC, ESPN, Disney has been hired to do some promotions for F1, the Cars movie, old days ABC showed some F1 in the 60s, ESPN used to broadcast F1, etc) he made it sound like NBCSN didn't bid on Formula 1 once they knew that F1 would offer their own streaming race coverage, so then ESPN snapped it up and further didn't do anything by just using the Sky feed. Probably more to it than that, but it explains the not so great first race as a broadcast.

Three races in...looks like ESPN and Liberty got their act together. Chinese GP coverage was pretty good.

China was a huge step forward for F1 coverage in the US. No commercials allow the viewer to “feel” the race. No commercials was fantastic, No side by side, just a smooth continuous coverage of events. Only minor shouting during admittedly close moments, not artificial hype ala Diffey. Brundle is knowledgeable and measured, although understandably a little bit British biased. If this keeps up throughout the season, it will be a welcome change.....

Did anyone else catch the mini driver steering wheel at the bottom of the screen?? It was showing driver steering angle and gear selected, pretty cool.

Only saw it the one time as I remember for about 45 seconds.

WHY? Buxton was one of the main reasons why the NBC coverage was unbearable.

I guess because that’s only one of many differing opinions. Buxton doesn’t bother me, but I can see why some find him to be annoying.
