    Does the sale of Cosworth mean that Ford will have no involvement in Formula One at all???

    That's the real tragedy, the maker of the most successful F1 engine of all time now bows out completely? F1 and Ford (just like Ferrari,) are synonymous.

    Prob wont come in under lambo though, most likely VW or maybe Audi will lighten up with the funding with rolex sports car even though they are doing phenominal there.

    I don't think Lambo will ever do it honestly..what do they have to prove? Spend a trillion dollars to fail in a sport that they already have no reputation in?

    Unless they recruited some big name brass that all made a synchronized defection from another team (as they did for the road cars at inception), I just can't see it happening.

    They tried it once with Daniel Adetto (after he was with Ferrari) and the results were disastrous...lest we forget Larrousse-Lamborghini.

    They're doing fine with the road cars, a full tilt F1 venture won't do much to bolster their image.

    This has been a concern of mine for a while. Teams leaving with no replacements. Bad news. Teams used to fail at F1 all the time but there was always someone else to step in. I sure hope they find a buyer. Bernie mentioned something about teams running three cars to make up the grid if they don't. Right, that sounds like a good idea. Teams are dropping out, so lets make the teams that are hanging on spend MORE!

    Count me in for collecting funds to make an offer. I've got 57 cents and some lint in my pocket and I am ready to spend it ALL!

    It would be very cool to see some legendary F1 names resurrected...Lotus, Tyrrell, etc...

    MK, we can buy the rights to the Tyrrell name! I can design a new 6 wheeler called the P34-2006!

    We'll get Mika Hakkinen and JV to drive and campaign it as the Blonde Ambition Tour 2006 and duke it out with Minardi for back marker bonuses.

    I guess now there will be room for that new Red Bull Team, the first U.S. team -- aren't they still scouring the earth looking for drivers? I thought Carroll Shelby was involved in that somehow. Sorry to see Jaguar go -- I was enjoying watching Christian Klien going straight off the runoff every single lap at Monza. (oh, I miss the Alex Yoong days at Minardi -- he could spin off the track with the best of them). And I LOVED the new graphics. Poor poor little Hong Kong SHanghai Bank -- where will they put all their sponsorship billions now??

    Ten bucks says that within three years there will be an F-1 Team with "Georgetown Private CLiente.com" printed on the side, along with a picture of a turned-up collar.
