Just saw the grange in issaquah has no ethanol in the gas. May have been my imagination but the old car ran better with the first fill up. I plan to put it in all the old cars for the winter

Oddly enough, I tried the no ethanol fuel from Issaquah in My 2007 Quattroporte.
After the fill up the car started and died and had to be restarted each time. This happened each time I would start the car. It stopped doing that when I refilled at the Shell station on Mercer Island with the normal 10%ethanol gas.
Very strange, but after that I don't use it. I guess the car just didn't like the no ethanol fuel.
    Just saying.

I just drove by that Cenex this morning in Issaquah and noted the ethanol free sign. But I would rather put TopTierGas.com fuel in my car than no-name generic ethanol free gas.

For the last two months Costco (in Washington State only) has been Top Tier fuel. They add the additives when they pump the fuel into the ground tanks. I fueled up there this morning, yet I still tend to gravitate toward Chevron and Shell for most of my fuel needs.

Your car will eventually run fine on no ethanol gas. It has an injection brain that 'learns' the type of gas you use. Since the Ethanol gas needs a richer mixture, when you put non eth in it, it's now too rich. If you migrate it over slowly it will work fine.

This is how to find it: http://pure-gas.org/

Surprisingly, the 76 station by my house sells ethanol free gas. I have been using it for a few months in the 355, since I hear of all these horror stories about fuel pumps getting eaten up in modern Ferraris by the ethanol.

How do they get away with this? I thought it was federally mandated.
