Hello guys, Im new in the forum.
Im about to pull the trigger, essentially I prefer the look and shapes / esthetic of the Diablo than the Aventador.
Im still not decided if buy an Aventador or a diablo, budget about 220-230K eur

    My concern about Diablo is:

If somepiece fail, does lambo sells spare parts od Diablos ?

Say something broke, can it be replaced ?
Say the gear box, can it be replaced or must be repaired, same with engine.. ??

As for the rest, maintenance differances between a Diablo and an Aventador would be nice to know about, if any ?

    Im in EU

owning 2 diablos, first one since 2008, from my experience:

    - parts are possible to find, factory or other sources (i do sell diablo parts...but there are others in the classic lambo parts trading)
    - parts can be replaced 99% of times, engine and gearbox repaired
    - diablos engine is pretty strong and hardly get important failure, differential can be more troublesome but if it has good and fresh oil and car is used well no problems
    - clutch can last not so long, expecially on VT cars, if driver use it improperly: when it slips is gone and repair takes some time and money since engine must come out
    - few electric sensors or lambda can go bad...so if the car starts running badly or rough, 90% it is one gone of these

this said, i suggest you to take a diablo for many reasons:

-design is a masterpiece: all diablos are nice
-Bizzarrini V12 engine is an other masterpiece and no longer made
-diablo has the old school feel but is very usable and still pretty fast
-it is becoming a classic and price are on the rise
-if you plan to drive it a lot, avoid early 2wd cars since they are hard to use with no power steering
-all models from VT 5700 are easy to drive
-SV with short gearbox is a great driver car as well as the last VT 6.0 (both these may be hard to find under 250k euro)
-try to avoid much modified cars....like VT converted to GT, or cars with a ton of mismatching parts
-sport exhaust, VT remove and lighter clutches are good mods, so do not be afraid of them
-buy the best you can find...restos are not cheap
