That is actually a very good question. I should investigate at some point. My guess is that the balance shifted a bit to the rear, but not that much.

I was a bike mechanic in a previous life and built some very light machines for their time that would be comparable - philosophically - to your car: super-light without sacrificing real world usability. And you're right, it's an incredible amount of fun! I look forward to seeing how close I can get to your car Steven when I start my own "weight-loss project" this summer. :D

OMG! 800 pounds is unimaginable! I will be very happy with 250, or 300lbs just to get it to or better than the Euro spec car.

By the way the 308 looks fantastic in blue! That is by far my # 1 color choice if I can find one. Is that blue Sera -FER-504 /C? Or blue charo?

Thank you for the nice words. The color actually it is TDF blue. It is an Ferrari official color. But obviously not time correct. But hell, the car will not win any originality contest anyway:):):):)

The color scheme was "stolen" the color scheme from a 430 Scuderia I once saw.

for a 77 it's in the door beams and gth solid bumpers and the hydrualic supports.

Both will have "good cams" as Euros are NON CAT thru 1980

Other differenes are the US twin distibutors stuff like that

Also the American market needed AC and that s a LOT of weight in all that equipment....
