Still looking for the 550. However, I've come across a 2000 Euro 550. Nice color combo, no paint or known problems, low miles (13k), full service including T Belts. Priced at $110k.

Based on my recent mkt experience, I'd guess a similar US car at $120-125k.

Any known issues between the Euro/US cars? And, what are your thoughts on pricing differential today--is this a fair discount at $110k?

Finally, thoughts on any value drop differential when I sell it in 2 years when the F430 arrives?

    Thanks for the help...

Once the warranty wears off, the spread between a Euro and US car generally narrows to about $10k to $15k, assuming that the federalization was done correctly.

In the past, there have been rurmors of US dealers not honoring the wheel recall on Euro 550s, although I have never had this confirmed. However, I think the recall only affected 97-99. Check the DOT website to confirm.

You also may not be able to get the new power cubed FNA extended warranty on a Euro car. I don't know for sure on that.

    Hope this helps, Dale
