We've run into some issues on my 99 550 that we think are the result of different wiring looms used euro and US. Does anyone have a euro wiring diagram available? Any other info, such as we haven't tried everything else yet, is more than welcome. The issue involves the suspension light staying on despite properly located and operating shock actuators. By the way it has FHP.

    Thanks in advance.

John, the section L in my 550 WSM has that 4 page overall wiring diagram for both the left & right banks in both the Euro and US spec versions. In Ferrari parlance, it's called the "Injection Diagram Right Bank" and "Injection Diagram Left Bank".

It may or may not help you, but if you'll PM me your email address, I'll try to extract just those 8 pages from the PDF and send them to you.

I'm pretty sure but not positive that if your shocks are bad even good shock actuators will not help you.

Bad/worn shocks would have no effect in the suspension warning light.

"The issue involves the suspension light staying on despite properly located and operating shock actuators. By the way it has FHP"

How were the actuators tested, did you look at the little gear on top of the shock under the actuator? They break, Hill Engineering has a replacement part through Ricambi.

Look inside the connectors, sometimes the pins get pushed back and make intermittent or no contact. You can also have a cold solder joint inside the actuator which can be intermittent, but usually it's just open.

Have you driven the car? The light will light after three key cycles without getting a speedometer signal.

FHP makes no difference, and as far as I know Euro and US are the same for the suspension ECU

    John,

    Thanks. PM sent.

    fatbilllybob,

We think we have good shocks and are just chasing an electrical issue. I sure hope that's the case.

I thought the system uses yaw sensors etc to dynamically set the shocks rebound via the shock ecu. If that is true then a bad shock will give faulty feedback. Sotake the extreme of no shock actuator on the shock or a totally blown out shock will you throw a light? Why don't you pull a front actuator off the top of the shock. switch to sport mode and see what happens. I would expect a light. I guess it is easy enough to see how the system works. I have never tried it since I'm on motons

If you pull an actuator it will show a light because the actuator will not see a stop while rotating. That's what the little stop on the gear does.

However the shock innards can sieze and not rotate freely, which in turn causes a light. Pull of the actuators and check the shock gear turns...
