Has anyone tried swapping the US spec side mirrors for Euro spec side mirrors on a 308 or 328? Is this a difficult job? I prefer the smaller and less bulky euros.

Not sure how difficult it is.. but I have seen a few us cars imported to the uk and the mirrors have been repaced with the Euro one's... Much nicer!!! And they are very reasonable to buy new!!

I purchased a pair of Euro mirrors and tried to put them on My US car, they will fit but will require drilling new mounting holes, something I wasn't willing to do.

    I did it.

You do have to drill two new holes but that is no big deal really since they will be covered by the US mirrors if you swap back. Besides, there's 3 other holes there anyhow - one's big too - one more won't hurt anything.

Unless you have some way to drill a hole with the correct diameter and pitch for a screw, you will have to remove the door panel and just use a nut on the other side to hold the screws. That's what I ended up doing. It took a little longer but it wasn't too bad really.

I was lucky and found two factory Euro power mirrors with all the hardware. Forget those little "baby" tornado mirrors, they are WAY too small.

My 328 has euro mirrors which look great. I got the car that way and really like the look. They tend to shake a little over bumps even though they are tightened however.

I found mine on ebay from some guy in Canada. It took about 4 years before I found them.
