If the weather and traffic (next Saturday is a national holiday - Queens Birthday- in the Netherlands) permit I will drive the GT4 this weekend - do you want me to stop in front of this camera and say Hi to the rest of the world?

Wolfgang, you are partly right in this, I don't care for the national holiday (except that I want to DRIVE and drive fast instead of getting stuck in a huge traffic jam). But about the weather, you should remember that my 308 GT4 is from 1975 and therefore made from "high quality" Italian steel..... A famous (or should I say notorious) quote on Alfa Suds build in the same years is that "they already rust in the brochure"!
Didn`t know that the 308 GT4 is so rust vulnerable What about driving for 1 week on vacation and it starts raining cats & dogs during the trip?
That is called "bad luck".... But I try to avoid driving in the rain. Since there are already some minor rust bubbles visible, I asked what corrosion tratment and a total respray will cost me. The answer (> 10.000 euro) made me decide to avoid rides in rainy conditions....
