If anyone is interested in another car show on 9/11, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce is holding its first annual Festival Concours in conjunction with the Festival of the Vines. There are already some Ferraris registered (with an Enzo appearance possible) and we are bringing some Lambos and a Lotus Elise. If you have any questions, please feel free contact me or check out the web at:

Maybe I can "break in" the new motor in my old Mercedes with a drive to Geneva. Probably won't have the 308 back in action until next spring!

Has anyone been to the Festival before? Is it worth the 500 mile round trip?

Hey guys, just a little update on the show; FVM and B.D. Mallon Art Gallery will be hosting a cocktail reception at the gallery in Geneva after the car show from 5-8. For this reception you need to RSVP to me by 9/7/04. Hope to see all of you there!

    Hey Michael,

I was talking to Butch (90 Testarossa) yesterday, and you came up, and he said you have a house you're selling in Homer Glen. According to him you live real close me, I'm near 159th and Gouger. Invite is always open to stop by for a drink!

Maybe things will pick up later in the day, but it just didn't seem all that lively at 12:30. A few nifty cars, but pretty disappointed that there wasn't much in the way of vintage Italian autos. Nice Ghibli, but where were the older Lambos or Ferraris? There was a nice injected Boxer at least.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised there were no F40s, F50s, or Enzos in the lot: guess us far West 'burbs just don't rate :(

Only took 2 pictures, this seemed to be the most interesting of the 2...

yea i second that... the hour drive wasnt really justified in my opinion. I was expecting alot more. though the continental gt and the elise were very nice to see.

It seemed like a nice day to me.

By my count, roughly 60 cars isn't too bad for a first year event, with a chunk of the entry fees going to charity. Beautiful weather, and fairly well organized overall. I've spent worse Saturday afternoons.

Besides the usual garden variety 308/328's, seeing John Weinberger's stunning 1957 Maserati A6G /2000 Frua Spyder was worth the trip for me.
