I was used to driving fast cars but Enzo did know how to make a car... only point of critism are the breakes... ATE made but lacking the grip and bite you would like to have. Powersteering and ABS are for *******
Yes, I agree 100% about the brakes with you. For a 300km/h car this brakes are just stupid. Thats why I never say: I have braked; I just call it "roll-out". BTW, the same crazy system is used in the early Lamborghini Diablos. Yeah powersteering and ABS are realy for ******* & wimps
Funny thing is that if you remove the wheel in the back you can actually see that part that holds the brake (don't know the right word for it) can be placed on the other side also. so looking at the rear wheel the breake is always placed on the leftside but screwholes are made on the right side also...... doubling the brake? I was at Francorchamps last year during the ferrari days (sunday) was "racing" a 360 around the track... 3 rounds and I had to NO brakes at all anymore....peddle did go all the way to the metal...... scary!. I let the whole thing cool down and we drove home..... next day I changed the brakefluid..... looked like coca-cola. Started using DOT5 oil now and for normal use this is more than sufficient. However I would suggest to anyone with a testa to stay away from the rear of S clas merc's 5 and 7 series Beemers Audi's etc.....
Robert, this is a well know problem with the tesa and early diablo brakes. We have rent the Hockenheim Ring F1 track this year for our Modena Days. After 3 laps, all Diablos drove in the box - second clutch pedal I have lost my brake first time during the Taunus Rallye ....what a damn f*** feeling to push the brake pedal and there is absolut nothing!!!!!!! Blood, sweat & tears...but god bless, all went good. .....and never drive behind a Porsche GT2!!!!
GT2 ... yes I know.... Long time ago I used to own a 944 series 2 Turbo However the Turbo was tuned blowing a 1.2Bar overpresure instead of a 0.6 bar. Breakes came from a 959..... frightend the living dayslights out of the passenger (whom I didn't tell I had such good breakes....) lol they either came out green or very pale .... always. I spoke to ATE about the breakes and they said the stopping power is sufficient...for that car.
I WILL invite them for a passenger drive! Think they will change their mind after this life-time-experience.
