Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't look like the European GP will be shown live in the US. I noticed on Sunday Fox said they would have coverage starting at noon ET and the race starts at 8am ET. Speed doesn't have the race either so what gives?

Fox has the contract for a few F1 races a year and it sucks. Their coverage is delayed, their commentators are less than adequate and they edit the race to fit their time slot.
Ever since Fox bought Speed and turned it into the Nascar Network, F1 has been given significantly less attention and when the "Daddy" network decides it wants to air a couple of F1 races the coverage goes from awful to abysmal

The Canadian Grand Prix turned into one of the best F1 races, and best any kind of auto race, in many years and it's a pity that race fans everywhere didn't get to see it, going by the ratings.

In this day and age of instant global communications I am surprised that the Euro or British feed of the race can't be found online.

    Anyone have any links?

If you check the race threads, people always post links to places where you can watch the race online. Personally, I use a VPN so that I can watch live from the BBC website or watch it later in the day from their website.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. I think it's horrible that in the year 2011 a major sports event isn't shown live in one of the biggest countries in the world.

I can download and watch the race by the time it's shown on Fox, just horrible.

That's the ticket, plus I can watch most every American TV show while I am in Mexico. Which one do you use?

I use StrongVPN. I can use it on any computer as well as my iPad and cell phone, which comes in handy as I can use the BBC's iPlayer app on the go.

EDIT: Also great fro being able to watch Top Gear live on Sundays.

    Thanks
This feed uses StreamTorrent which is unfortunately not Mac OSX friendly.
Any feeds/links that will work on a Mac?

We get the BBC version race in Canada so no Fox worries. However it did come in handy for the Montreal Grand Prix as you could flip back and forth during commercials and most times catch the race still being shown on the other channel. Every other time the Speed channel version of qualifying and the race is blocked in Canada, not with Fox though. It also helped that the race was restarted way past the time it would have officially completed on a normal schedule. We only see Friday practice unblocked on Speed never Saturday or Sunday F1 programming.

European GP will be live on TSN for Canadian programing.
