    It's pretty much crap.

    Research Requirements:
You must have at least 5 sources that have been carefully evaluated for relevance, credentials of author/publisher, date of publication, and level of specialization. Your research should include a variety of sources such as scholarly journals, government documents, books, websites, popular magazines and newspapers.

Documenting Style: APA or MLA in text citations and Works Cited page

    Assignment:
Write a paper evaluating a subject based on criteria you set up and explain. Chose a subject that interests you and that is current, controversial and influential. Make a claim that your subject is good/bad, effective/ineffective, best/worst, competent/incompetent, successful/unsuccessful, or any similar comparison of value. Your paper will explain the criteria used to evaluate your subject, and show evidence that proves that your claim is correct.

    Required Parts:
    • an evaluative claim about a subject
    • an examination of criteria applicable to that subject
    • evidence that the subject does or does not meet the stated criteria

Haha, I don't think this teacher even knows what an E anything is. Plus, I've never been on L-Pwr so that would be hard.

    ^^^ Haha,

Seriously though, evaluate the pros and cons of LSD use. Definitely current, controversial, and, if you make it so, influential. Best drug out there for spiritual enlightenment, personal growth, etc. State points of low to no physical harm, enormous addiction treatment possibilities, low addictions to the drug (LSD). 50% success rate in treating alcoholics, has great potential for all addiction treatments really, but junkies, criminally insane, etc too. Very effective if used with a skilled/experienced/knowledgeable sitter. Cite Erowid (www.erowid.com) experience reports as personal testimonials.

Hell I could write it for you!

MSN me if you want more info: milkydud789 AT hotmail DOT com.

I saw a great show on public TV yesterday

Nova - Evolution vs Intelligent Design http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/

It was about a court case in 2004? to get ID taught in public schools.... in some little country town in the Midwest

Sounds boring, but it was a fascinating show.

You can go to PBS.org and find transcripts or video of the show. .... really good material for a paper. Its all right there on one page for you to research. Simple, Fast, Interesting!

The ID people did a great job debunking science. And Science came back and hit strong defending itself.... The judge came down with an extremely harsh verdict in the end

It was close case until they found a smoking gun right at the end. Some church leaders had donated a bunch of text books saying Intelligent Design was a new science. The books represented a huge amount of work and were so well done. But when they traced the origin of the books back... to original drafts, they found in some places the word "Creationism" was simple replaced with "Intelligent Design" as a way to get religion taught in schools.

Here is a topic idea: Why it is a good idea to make front license plates optional (or even outlawed) in all States.

You could point out all the plusses:
    - better aerodynamics
    - better MPG
    - better engine cooling
    - better front brake cooling
    - better opportunity for using airflow to create downforce at speed (better for safety)
    - frees up car designers to make even more aerodynamic shapes in front
    - cost savings to State budgets in making just 1 plate per car
    - better effectiveness of the 5 mph bumper collisions (less scratching of the other car)

The likely things against it could be offset by:
    - not needed for detecting out-of-date registrations from the front of the car (we could put small color stickers on the inside of the windshield - down low or up high)
    - not needed for spotting stolen cars (90% of license spotting is done from the rear plate)

And you could do a summary to the paper by listing all the States that have wised-up and already gone this way.

And, you are welcome to start your national campaign for reform in my wonderful State of Virginia! :) (actually a "commonwealth")

Wow, that would've made a good topic.

Thanks everyone that contributed, I don't need a topic anymore.

This site also does an *awesome* job of debunking the ID zealots - The link below is to the "open letter" he sent to the Kansas City School board.

    Enjoy,
    Cheers,

I knew a pulmnologist who wrote a paper on the non-harmful effects of marijuana smoking (or something like that). I just know it had a sort of positive spin on things.
