So I pulled my evaporator out and unfortunately the box cracked around the drain pipe.

At first I thought I had broken something from the evaporator... but I cannot find any area that looks like the drain would even connect.

So I'm guessing the pipe is just a drain, not connected to the evaporator and I can just fiberglass the pipe back into place?

Or is it somehow plumbed to the evaporator and I'm just not seeing it?

    Thanks for any insight.

On my ‘82 308GTSi the evaporator just condensed inside the fiberglass box, then the box drains via a tube in the box towards the front of the car. No connection from the hose to the evaporator…….

Thanks man. Yeah I figured as much since I couldn't for the life of me see anything bent or broken.

The evaporator will create condensation so must have the drain or you can have a swimming pool Ferrari interior
