Event on 12/8? Is there such a thing? (HOUSTON)

I keep hearing there is a track event of some sort on Saturday in Houston. Is there anything of the sort that day?

I found out the event. There is a 60-130 Competition at Lonestar in Houston - 12/8/07. I saw it on 6speedonline.

For those of you free that day, try to come. A lot of folks will be meeting at the Conoco on Eldridge and I10 around 10AM-10:30AM then heading out to the track. It is $50 if you want to run your car and get official times. $10 just to watch. Looks like lots of Porsches (TT, GT2, GT3), Ford GT, Z06, a few F cars, and maybe some Lambos will be going (at least mine).

Yeah I remember him. I am free that day so I'll head out there. Are you going to be at the conoco or are you just heading out there? Any of the Porsche guys from the cruise going to be there. I'd like to see "Juans" Porsche. I never caught his real name but I heard him say Juan playing around. He had the one seater.

 

Phil and I are meeting up at the Conoco and then riding out with the caravan.

Those 3 GT2 (among many more) will be there. You are talking about DrJoe's GT2 with the one seat. He will be there to run his car. I can't wait to see how quick these cars go. Bring some ear plugs!

 

Sweet, I am trying to get two of my friends out there with me but they may not be able to come. I will definetly go, I want to see this.

 

Hey this sound's like alot of fun and I'm quite familiar with alot of the Supra's around Houston who will be there. When I was heavily into 2JZGTE's I spoke with John H. on several occasion about hosting an event at his track. I would love to tag along, any chance I can hitch a ride with someone in their exotic, I live at Hwy 6 and I-10 ? If all seat's are taken would yall mind if I tagged along in the convoy??

Meet us in the convoy at 10:15AM at the Conoco on I10 and Eldridge. I would let you tag along with me but I think my brother is going.

 

Why can't you come? Just go! It looks like its going to be a pretty good even with lots of fast cars taking to the track and drag strip!

Well so far I might be meeting you guys solo. I am trying to get some friends to come out but they might have to work. Either way, see you at the Conoco.

 

Unfortunately, I will have to miss this one. Big family day planned. It's seems the wife and kids feel they are entitled to a portion of my time. Have fun guys.

No worries...I have my barely used NikonD40 I purchased a few months ago. I have no clue how to use this thing. I guess I need to start learning.

 

I'll have my digital so I'll be a shutterbug today I just hope the battery got fully charged last night.

It was a great event although NO Ferrari's showed up. I have quite a few pic's and some video's I just need to figure out how to import/export them so I can post them. I'm a computer dummy LOL!

 

you can hook up the camera directly to the computer or take out the memory card and if you have a card reader do it like that, I use a card reader

 

I got the pic's and video downloaded to the computer via my 'Picture Motion Browser' but after that I'm lost.

 

oh so you have a sony, sorry I dont have picture motion browser, but when you click on a picture there should be a save as or move file, then you save it under My Pictures

 

Nope no 'save as' or 'move file' ? I've about had my share of this computer nonsense for one day anyway lol!
