First, those Suburban meat-grinders are made by a civilian company that caters to high-end security needs. That is their promo video. As far as I know, they have no contract with the Fed. Whatever it is Bush has in his immediate circle as emergency protection, it is most definately not that Suburban. Wanna know what he's got back there? Ask yourself this: What kind of laptop do you think Bill Gates secretly uses on a daily basis? Think it's as mundane or obsolete as a CoreDuo running Vista? No no no...he's got a really, really cool toy that we won't see for 10 years or so. Now ask yourself this: What kind of security detail does a modern wartime POTUS use on a daily basis? Think its armed wirh archaic weapons using cavemen tools like bullets and gunpowder? No, no, no... Second, it looked a heck of a lot like that RX7 had a bigload of fireworks in the cabin. I don't think mini-guns create green and purple fire and spark showers.
The Apple Powerbook is no real secret I can answer this having worked at Intel's IT; Executive management all the way up to Andrew Grove used standard corporate computers and laptops, using Windows OS that was slightly older than the current issue. Meaning, that while public department stores sold systems with Windows XP, Intel's standard was still Windows 2000. Why? Because it worked for the company, it was the standard company wide, everybody was on the same page when it came to computing systems. Though exectutive branch had the latest and greatest, Mr. Grove never used some super secret processor that was lightyears ahead of the game, he always used what was standard to the company so that wherever he went, parts were available and it could be repaired quickly by the IT group he happened to be visiting inside the company. Inside their labs..... was another story.
I have a friend that works for Titleist that gets some experimental golf balls... think like 2011 ProV1's. They go through extensive testing for spin, bounce, trajectory, etc.... but they are still just a golf ball to me, nothing super crazy.
I've heard that they even R&D the golf ball dimple shape/depth/size... like you said.. it's just a golf ball!!
