I was on the fence about purchasing an FF as a daily driver for a couple of years now. As some of you may know, about two months ago I went ahead and pulled the trigger: 2104 model. I thought I would share with you some of my observations and experiences with the car after a couple of months.

    1. Wish I would have made this decision years ago when I first thought about it. Other FF chat members told me without hesitation to do it years ago. I’m joining that club for anyone else who is thinking of the same. What I have heard in the past is a true statement, any serious car person who has the means should own a Ferrari V 12 at least once in their life.
    2. I installed a new set of the Michelin sport all season. I will provide everybody updates on how they do this winter.
    3. No surprise here, but I sure wish the gas tank was about 4 to 5 gallons larger. At the pump a lot.
    4. I also installed a new AGM interstate battery after purchase. I have not used my new AGM capable Cytek trickle charger yet. The car rarely goes more than three days without being driven. I left it at the airport for four days on a trip, started up no issue.
    5. My car had the blue aniline leather interior option. Ferrari did not do a very good job matching the dye colors between the seats, door panels, and a few other locations in the car.
    6. Other than crappy graphics, the infotainment unit does a pretty good job all around. Climate control works extremely well. Very comfortable seats and more rear seat legroom than you would think.
    7. Finally, the FF has caused me to appreciate even more how great the 458 is. In my 458, hit the bumpy road button, put it in auto, and it drives almost as quiet and smooth as the FF. It is a serious GT car along with being an amazing sports car.

    Welcome to FF crew! :)
How's your experience with gearbox so far? I find it a little bit jerky at times, especially at low speed.

Just had its annual service a few weeks ago. All checked out okay except a small leak on rear passenger side shock. Nothing urgent to replace, but went ahead and had the parts ordered.

Other than that, been running great. Love the car. I would agree that the transmission can be a bit chunky in low gears in certain circumstances, such as pulling into a drive or parking lot that's a bit uphill. I have learned when those circumstances exist, and just paddle down to the gear I want.

Unlike my 458, I don't find myself driving the FF as much in manual mode, and I know that is where a lot of fun occurs. Just a bit lazy in this GT cruiser.
