In my opinion EVO is one of the better car magazines, it has interesting articles and informative interviews. Problem is that it was only available at certain book stores where it sold out quickly and came with a little sticker that said "Printed in UK" which was somehow supposed to justify the price of $8.50. So this evening I was a little suprised to see a big stack of EVOs on the magazine rack at the grocery story but what really got me was this:

It looks like MAXIM and EVO are both owned by Dennis Publishing.

Lots of good stuff in the current issue:

Wow - I didn't know that. Now how do we leverage that to get EVO here for cheap? EVO, CAR and Octane are the only mags I read...the rest is drivel.

    Dan,
    don't forget Racecar Engineering.

Autocar, Autoweek, Classic car and Sportscar International sometimes have decent articles too.

My local Barnes & Noble still has it with the little sticker and high price. I'm guessing that they started printing a US edition but some of the bookstores are stuck with the expensive UK edition.

It must be a misprint on the magasine where it says $3.99

That would make it cheaper than it is here in England where it is written, published then distributed. It's something like £3.25 or £3.40 here (about $5)

Then they've got to export it to america... or am i being blonde and its actually re-printed in america??

Oh well. $8 is worth it for the best contemporary car mag.

Mark, is there a subscription card inside the magazine? If so, what is the annual subscription rate it lists? Thx
