Thanks for the pics! The F50 looked so awesome in Azzurro California. Couldn't the owner just have bought a red one instead of re-re-painting the same car??? For anyone wanting to know, the F1 is chassis #014, ex-Brunei car.

Yes, Chris is right. That F1 has only had two owners and neither were named Schumacher. The second owner stated what Chris said - that the car was signed by Schumi as a favor to the original owner. Strange really, but there are quite a few strange things that have gone on in Brunei.

ooo nice. 4 F50's and an F50 GT, my dream. All they need is one of the red ones to be black and that would be perfect

I know this is off topic from the Azzuro, but does include the F1....does anyone know what they want for that car? When it was on Ebay it got bid to 1.7mil....and reserve not met.....I thought that was crazy money for the car

Their reserve price on that auction for #014 was $1.8 Million. It actually reached the reserve at least twice with some phony bids that were cancelled, and then SVAG edited the description and stated what the reserve was and rather angrily told people to knock it off with bogus bids, threatening lawsuits and things.

The asking price isn't quite as outrageous as it might seem. Other F1s have sold for similar prices recently, including the red one (#028) that SVAG had right before this yellow one (#014). Unfortunately for SVAG this particular yellow F1 is not worth nearly as much as those other cars that raised the bar on F1 pricing. Specifically, it lacks certain upgrades to the radiators, A/C system, headlights and other things which would cost quite a bit to have added. It also has a questionable past and comments from people who've gotten a close look at it recently say it still has some issues.

It's quite a shame too, because it's a stunning car in yellow and there were only two F1s painted that color originally, so it's quite a rare example. Something tells me they're either going to have to sit on that car for a while, sell it for much less than they thought they could get, or they will need to find someone who hasn't done all their homework that stumbles in with a fat wad of cash and a got-to-have-it attitude. Luckily for them, that last scenario isn't totally out of the question. :D
