Anybody want to do the Top Ten reasons why this car shouldn't meet it's reserve. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1991-Ferarri-Testarossa-David-Letterman-Owned_W0QQitemZ4619553188QQcategoryZ6212QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Remove the celeb factor I'd say this car is a 7.5.
Doesn't look like it has a reserve? The interior looks pretty good & the exterior damage is minor. With a few fixed, this car looks to be an 8.5 or 9 depending on the engine condition.
It looks really good to me. I can't see why it won't be worth at least what a very good condition low mileage 1989 328 would be worth (maybe around $65k). I would like to be the owner. Not in the market now or I would probably pursue it. Not for the Letterman factor, just because it is a very late model TR with what appears to be good possibilities. There is not a reserve as far as I can tell. BT
I think it looks pretty good. If I didn't already own one, I'd chase this one. $65,000 in, plus some minor cosmetics and this would be a good auto.
I remember reading an interview with Dave once where he was talking about his 1st Fcar being a 328 and he loved it so much, he bought the TR thinking it would be like the 328 but better. But, he found it had a much different character that he didn't care for, so he sold it soon afterwards. Last I heard, he still has the 328 along with several classics. Dave
