    EX-PHIL HILL 1918 PACKARD TWIN SIX 7-LITER V-12 ENGINE

I purchased this engine a few years ago through Gooding & Company. They provided me with a letter confirming the engine belonged to legendary Ferrari race driver Phil Hill, and that they collected it directly from the garage of his longtime home in Santa Monica.

I never got around to cleaning it up or doing anything with it. In fact, I completely forgot about it until I was in the process of relocating (less than 1 week away now ) and realized this behemoth is sitting in my garage.

Buy it right now for $500, or try to pick it up for only a few bucks by bidding. It's a short, 3-day auction because I need the engine to go away quickly.

You can arrange for immediate shipping at your own expense, but local pickup would be better. This thing weighs 600-700 lbs. As stated in the eBay listing, a pallet jack and appropriately-sized vehicle will be required.

You should contact this guy. His shop is very well known in the classic car restoration biz. He reularly has winners in Pebble Beech.
Just walking through his shop is a treat as he curates a lot of old cars for the wealthier, old money types such as in Newport and elsewhere.

Steve Babinsky is the guy you'd want to talk to.

I’m pretty sure I have the Babbitt moulds for these early Packards if someone wants to try and get it going!
