Hi, Apparently 365 Gt4 2+2 no. 18263 was one of the Ex-Shah of Iran cars sold in the 12 March, 1997 Bonhams Auction in Geneva alongside the Miura SVJ. Was this car really a gift form King Hussein of Jordan ? Where is it now ? Any recent pics ? I would love to learn more about this car. Regards, Ramin

How lucky we are to have Paul with the knowledge good on you. 1700kms in 30 years now thats what I call low mileage but of course that doesnt mean at all that it will be perfect but I imagine very original and certainly interesting history. Somebody got a bargain. I dont quite see why HH King Hussien didnt just give the car to me, I would have been a much more suitable western, greedy, selfish and materialistic person to appreciate it! All good fun Regards Alastair
Wow, Thank you most kindly for the info. It seems surprising that a car with such a pedigree and history would not be seen for over 8 years. It would great if the car turned up. Warmest Regards, Ramin
That Jordan does not have oil, Iran and Iraq do so he likes to keep on the good side of his neighbors with various car gifts. He is a great enthusiast and has a Royal car museum. . He also paid for the restoration of the ex-King Ghazi 540K erdmann & Rossi Mercedes that Saddem took out of the museum. It was sent to Germany and restored. By the time it was done Saddam was in less of a positioh to enjoy it. Now it is rumored to be in a shworoom in Berlin.
Hi, Thank you for the information. It was no secret that the Shah and King Hussien were good friends and car enthusiasts par excellence. Would you have any idea if this was the only car sent by King Hussein to Iran ? Were any cars sent vice versa ? There is a Boxer here that local lore has it that also came by way of Jordan. Any ideas ? Many Thanks, Ramin
Hi Ramin, Are you certain that the Boxer is still in Iran? Do you have personal knowledge of the car / current owner? -Ed
