I'd be more intrigued with the "patina" if it were the original paint, the power glide while slightly less desirable should still bring serious money.

Florida has certainly taken its toll on this car over the last 55 years. Corrosion might be worse than implied. Too bad it wasn't originally silver with red interior.

while it is an interesting story .. being an automatic it would MUCH more desirable if it was one of the 200 63s with FACTORY AC....
I believe then it would get to 150.. or near... this one appears to have aftermarket ac which is not desirable but it can be removed..

Good spot! I thought I was the only one to see this box barely sticking out in the shadows under the dash. In fact, I went back and the ad does not even mention AC.

The car would have lived up to the "small fortune" headline in the article had it been an N03 tanker (63 produced). However, with less than 2 hours to go in the auction, it is at $65K, which is about $9k over what Haggerty says a #4 automatic car is worth.

Somebody was willing to pay $66,615!

Now we know: the words "small fortune" in the article title probably refers to the restoration cost! :(
