Exceptional 1933 Magazine Illustration Art - Oscar Cesare / Aircraft

Offering an exceptional piece of vintage original art by renowned cartoonist Oscar Cesare (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_Cesare). The piece is date stamped December 17th, 1933. Cesare was working for the Sunday Magazine of the New York Times when this was created and the many printers markings lead me to believe that this piece was likely published there (though I am not certain). Cesare's bold signature appears on the top left.

The illustration is incredibly powerful and depicts rays of light off an aircraft. The plane's wing reads "Fiat Lux", Latin for "Let there be light". Most of Cesare's work is strongly political with an anti-war message. Assuming this piece is making a similar statement though I am not sure without more research.

Measures approximately 8 1/2" by 13" total, with the illustrated portion measuring 6" by 11". Excellent condition for its age with only minor wear / age toning (no rips, tears or stains).
