Excitement is building for the biggest race of the year - some cars having just arrived: Team Modena - F430 Risi Competizione - (2) F430 (the red one still has it's ALMS numbers on it!) Flying Lizards - 997 RSR G.A.C. Ginetta Zytek Endurance Team Asia - 997 RSR (they said it's still in the transporter - thhis is the dragon car) NAVI TEAM GOH - Porsche RS Spyder no LMP1's yet, but Ralph Juttner is there already Carol
not there yet - leave wednesday I hope that it's not just you and me on here for this best race of the year! Horndawg has a great thread where you can find everything you need regarding the race -> http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116040 here's another link to some photos http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_url?tt=url&trurl=http%3A%2F%2Fendurance-info.com%2F&lp=fr_en&.intl=us&fr=chr-acer (Grand Am is on Speed right now) Carol
Ya I really hope we have more of a showing here than we usually do. I need to make an account over at ten-tenths, too. That's a lot of cool stuff, ty again for the links. We expect some good pics from you!
Wouldn't miss it for quids, kids. N24H was great but this should be even better with more battle over the leading spots.
It's going to be hard to beat the first part of the N24H with the Porsche and Ford. I'm contemplating taking the day off this weekend.
Indeed! Speaking of that - I've got the footage and am looking for anyone with some vid editing software to cut out all the prestart part. The Ford v porsche battle starts halfway through the 1.3GB file and if I can cut it down to that it'd be much easier to pass on to others. If anyone has the vid editting program needed please speak up.
I have the same file/video at home. I'll see what I can do tonight, I have a little experience with that.
Yes. Check out radio LeMans for all the practice, qualifying etc live broadcast times during the week as we lead up to it too. I'll post a good video feed link as soon as I have one. Have been away from my computer and am not as prepared as usual.
I logged out of my account and here's the link http://www.ten-tenths.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116040 thanks to Modeler for posting the spotters guide and anything else, much appreciated you guys need to cheer for our FChat friend Rik's # 84 Ferrari ! ! ! Carol
Oh man, I'm so jealous of those who are there! Here in SA the only thing you get to see on TB is 'highlights' a month later. I hope there will be a reliable 24h feed...I'm going to stay awake as usual!
Thanks Carol. Fingers crossed Rik and the other 430s can out endure the porsches this time. I fear we may be slightly slower on out right pace this weekend. Just noticed a video from Audi showing the R15 testing at Paul Ricard and in what we presume is the car's 2009 Le Mans guise - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_EC7SowpKU Mike has had it posted on his site for a bit but , as I said earlier, I'm still playing catch up. You and me both, Jack!
#84 first car out. Many teams come under pressure to qualify their rookie drivers in this session. A one off chance to get 10 laps in for each driver is tighter than previous years as there's just the one session to get them signed off. Any misadventure could create the situation where they're appealing for a dispensation from the ACO. Feed from JTV- http://www.justin.tv/sportzone004 Woohoo! Onboard with Alan McNish around Le Mans in the Audi. Pretty good.
Thanks for the link! I wish I would have seen the McNish onboard, he's one of my favorites. (EDIT: looks like I will still be able to see some) I'm still working on the N24H video. I got it chopped down a bit, but the audio didn't encode with it. That's half of the coolness of it. I'm also building the 2006 LeMans winning Audi R10 model.
No sweat. Thanks for giving it a try. I agree the sound of the motor and tyres has to be synched to really feel as if you have a seat. Found the feed at the last minute. Was becoming concerned I'd only listen! Phwew. Live timing - http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/pages/chronos_gb.html Pesca 908 looks so good!
I'm off to run errands but I can get radiolemans on my phone and connect it to my car speakers. I'm going to miss the onboard stuff though . I can do the video feed but dont want to watch and drive at the same time.
