been trying to get the local chapter of the FCA to organise Carby runs here.......they dont like the idea cos it discriminates against the red shirt brigade.....wtf

 

well it's true. why not just have one run?

 

cos we are dealing with morons............thus the carby people are doing it solo (without the hairdresser post box set)

 

I don't get it. why be divisive? just invite everyone along. those who don't like it won't come again...like if there's too much driving or something.

It'll be a shame to not have you on the runs RB. I recall you saying that the all the Ferrari Club does is go on these drives and have expensive lunches and you weren't interested in that type of day out.

the carby people own/ drive ferraris because when they originally came out there were no pens, shoes, shirts, cuff links, condoms, after shave.

One just got the car........and if lucky a blonde, big mammary glands with chiffon scarf performing the 100mph ritual.

today, its slapper woman with all the garb. I agree with the carby mentality, the current crop of newbies are in it as a status symbol (probably why so many new cars never do more than head to the latte shop). Plus the fact the ex pres in SA went out of his way to alienate the carby people......thus there silence is deafening and it will take years to get these people back, all because of a narcissist.

 

We already have lunch runs where everybody is invited numb nuts. The carbi guys DON'T go, because they don't get along with the red shirt/wankers. They (for whatever reason), want to keep their CARBI CLUB to CARBI cars because they feel the older cars are owned by guys who have a passion for their cars and NOT because they have the "latest and greatest"
model.
Frankly I don't care, because I just take the F40 to any of them. BUT there is a difference in attitude about the cars between the carbi guys and the red shirt wankers.
I'll support the carbi runs whenever I can.

Yes I understand we have that situation already in Melbourne, but in Adelaide they're just stating to try to promote it. I don't think it's a good thing.

There are plenty of new car owners who are genuine car enthusiasts.
