To the OP. I tried a boggo aftermarket exhaust years ago and like you say, it just isn't the same. At all. Assuming you want the higher pitched scream, just get a Capristo. The Japanese stuff might be similar (its subjective) but objectively its costs a fortune, is hard to obtain etc. Capristo is available in europe / UK right now and will (I think) give you the sound you're after. There's a reason they don't come up for sale 2nd hand. All Capristo exhausts sound the same once the bypass valve opens. The only difference in level 1/2/3 is the size of the lower chamber and thus noise at idle (ie, with the valve closed). I've run a level 2 for nearly 15 years. sometimes (as I get older) I wish it was level 1, usually when I'm idling (ie stuck in traffic). But when moving its fine, no drone etc. I've done driving holidays around Europe with the wife for weeks, so that maybe gives you an idea. Stop vacillating, get it bought and just enjoy the car. (and BTW, if I'm ever able then an F12 is definitely on the cards to go alongside the 355. Well done you!)
Thank you for your thoughts, appreciated! Do you have the valve controller on your Capristo? I was debating this as well to have the best of all worlds...
Hello! Ah is there thank you! Being new I am struggling to find it, I’ve searched Tubi on the forum but it doesn’t come up. would you have a link at all?
Ah I’ve found a 360 one, are they the same? It’s in the US sadly, will get stung on import etc :-( I’m assuming if it’s non valved it’ll be noisy constantly?
